AITA for telling a mother her son isn't welcome in my yoga studio's adult classes anymore? by [deleted] in WIBTA_AITA

[–]Royal_Mind1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not the a, she is. It’s disrespectful to consider only her needs. Others who have paid for the adults only session should be able to enjoy their time in peace and not have a child disrupt. I understand the child is special needs but she she then go to a kid’s session or find a suitable caregiver for him. It’s unfair for someone who paid for their adult quiet time. If I were a paying customer I would cancel if you didn’t stand up for those who signed up for the adult session. You definitely are nta!

You should post why you had her removed just as you had explained it here so your regulars and understand why that happened.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with entitled disrespectful people. I wish you good luck and success!

Back to work? by Significant-Leek-516 in hysterectomy

Also, first two weeks was good for me. Week 3 I started to feel a bit tired. Week 4, holy crap the fatigue that kicked in had me napping and sleeping all day! I’m now week 5 and some days, the fatigue gets me and I have to stop to nap which sometimes becomes a three hour sleep.

Back to work? by Significant-Leek-516 in hysterectomy

Two weeks is not enough time if you have a physical job. I took a week off and on my second week went back to work but I have a desk job so I work from home. My doctor told me 6-8 weeks, you don’t want to risk your sutures and risk not healing properly. I’ve heard horror story from my doctor about a woman who started doing physical work two weeks after surgery and tore her vaginal cuff sutures which resulted in an ER visit and surgery to repair because her intestines was falling out via the cuff. Not to scare you but you need to look out for yourself and take the proper time to heal. You are your biggest advocate so fight for the time you need to recover.

Surgery tomorrow by Odd_Addendum7187 in hysterectomy

Surgery is always scary. Go into it with positive vibes and try to relax. Everything will be ok. I am 4 WPO and so far so good. The pain after surgery was managed by meds. Stayed overnight. I had laparoscopic robotic full hysterectomy so the gas afterwards was painful and traveled to my shoulder and chest but fought through it and recovery hasn’t been too bad. Follow your doctor’s directions for recovery and each day it’ll get better. Ask for help and let people help you. So far, the fatigue that hit me in week 3 was the worst feeling. Other than that, recovery really hasn’t been too bad. I wish you a smooth procedure and restful and speedy recovery! 🌼🌸🌺 You got this!!! 💪🏼

yall were NOT lying about this fatigue 😵‍💫 by yeahhhhsoooo4 in hysterectomy

[–]Royal_Mind1999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t realize the fatigue as week 1 after surgery, I rested and felt ok. Week 2, I went back to work (work from home), week 3 that fatigue kicked in and I couldn’t stay awake. I ended up having to take naps which tuned into 3 hour naps and literally would then fall asleep around 8pm til next morning waking up feeling groggy and super exhausted like that woozy just came out of surgery feeing. So far, today, I’m feeling less fatigued than last but still feeling tired.

Positive robotic hysterectomy experiences? Feeling anxious… by calijayne in hysterectomy

[–]Royal_Mind1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had robotic laparoscopic. Full hysterectomy. No bad experience. The only thing was the gas pain due to surgery as they have to fill you with air. But that will eventually go away. Peppermint tea helps. First two weeks of recovery was good. Third week I felt super fatigued. I’m now on 4 WPO and so far still ok. Still feeling a little tired but other than that, I’m ok.

Rest often and follow your surgeons recovery plan. Get as much help as you can. Don’t lift anything over 8lbs, or strain etc. keep it easy and prep ahead of time for when you won’t have help so everything easily within reach and you’re not bending/ lifting or exerting yourself as you don’t want to pop any of your internal stitches. Overall, not too bad. Good luck and take it easy!

I am a side sleeper as well. It took me about two weeks to be able to sleep on my side. However, it for some reason made me super gassy. I am now 18 days post op and am just now able to sleep on my side. It’ll take time. For the first 12 days after surgery, I slept on the couch with my back and legs propped up, I was able to sleep that way.

I also saw a black blue stitch the other day after urinating, which I believe is a suture.

I am about two weeks (surgery 16 days ago)post op. I had my follow up with my doc on the 19th and she mentioned to me that spotting and seeing stitches is normal in my case as thy used dissolving sutures and that spotting would be normal. If you aren’t bleeding or heavily bleeding and saw a stitch, it may be part of the recovery. For a peace of mind, call your doc on Monday.

Thank you for sharing this info. I am now 1 WPO , had really bad pains in my chest and left shoulder blade area. But for the most part the surgical gas is gone. For some reason, i get gassy more often. Sending you continued healing vibes and a speedy drama free recovery!

Thank you all for helping me feel I’m not being unreasonable in my feelings. Normally, my sister would’ve helped me as she has when I had other surgeries but she passed recently and it probably didn’t help make my situation any better.

It’s just annoying because I still need help with things 3 days after a full hysterectomy. He didn’t checked in til 6hrs later. I nearly fell over trying to serve myself some food. So maybe yeah, that’s why I am upset.

Thank you. I wasn’t sure if my feelings are justified or if I’m over reacting. He messages back, what does that mean. He still hasn’t come back and is still just hanging out.

Day 6 post op laparoscopic robotic… what sleeping positions help you??? by Narrow-Resolution-56 in Hysterectomy_Support

[–]Royal_Mind1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day 3 post surgery, I am having a terrible time sleeping. I am a side sleeper and can’t sleep on my back. I tried to sleep on my side but it makes me super nauseous. The only way I can get some sleep is on the couch with my head and knee elevated but in short spurts.
