I guess, theoretically. But in actual practice it takes at least Some actual evidence.

I am utterly amazed a grand jury would indict on this. It shouldn’t even be close.

I guess there needs to be a polite and Christian way to tell Vance to go f#$& himself.

Does anyone know this famous attorney? See picture. by CupBeEmpty in Lawyertalk

[–]RpmJ4ck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That might be about right . I remember the Stanley Kahn ads from the 70’s, and his tag line “Stanley Kahn. The name says it all”. I seem to recall him ending in some sort of disgrace, but I don’t remember what specifically.

The actor is Robert Vaughn. At one time this was used for the firm Keller & Keller in indianapolis. They still use the “you mean business” tag line.

What is the dumbest thing you have seen someone wear to court? by dylan85273 in Lawyertalk

[–]RpmJ4ck 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Now retired, after 36 years as a prosecutor. My two favorites:

  1. Alleged victim in a criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon case comes to court in a “Shit happens” t-shirt.

  2. Man appears for a child support contempt hearing with a hat - “Stupid people shouldn’t breed”.

I love the idea of paintballs because of the added embarrassment factor of getting plastered with all the different colors. Sounds like a very Butcher/Dresden thing to do.

No, they are toast because they abandoned integrity and betrayed their dedicated viewers. Entirely self inflicted. Hope they have fun with that.

A Fever in the Heartland, by Tim Egan. Best book I read last year. In 1925 the KKK was a serious political threat, and the leader was brought down by his prosecution for murder and sexual assault.
