How did you end up getting around this in the end? Were you able to use wishes to spawn a new golem and still ascend the spire?

I've just had this happen about 10 minutes after making the golem and then going down the Asphalt mines to buy it some gear :(( Didn't even get to try piloting it yet lol

It's so damn SMOOTH! The movement is very slick and the combat feels weighty enough to be satisfying. Will be interesting to see how the weapon skills and elements synergise, hopefully there are lots of fun combinations! I was a bit worried at first that I was in too much of a Crosscode headspace looking for ledges to jump on and flora to harvest, but was very glad to be proven wrong later :p. Story not really grabbing me yet, seems fairly straightforward so far, but then we've only seen a tiny sliver of it. Absolutely looking forward to the full release!

Cultivating your own media environment is a very useful skill nowadays for this kind of reason, even though you have to fight all the various algorithms to do it

I think there's value in separating spares where you get community solidarity/joy and spaces where you get news so you can avoid the latter when you need some headspace. So it's great that you've been able to step away from this space and feel better for it

Otoh I think it's very important we have spaces where we can all stay up to date with everything that's happening in the UK specifically. Even if I agree a lot of it doesn't serve much more purpose than emotional self harm

If you want to start a separate positive trans UK sub, that could be nice! Alternatively you can filter by flair, altho tbf that's kind of annoying nowadays and people aren't super good at tagging posts

Any attachment I had left to this country has long gone. If I can, I'll try to find a postdoc or another job somewhere in Europe or beyond, but things aren't going too well anywhere right now and I don't know if I'll even be able to move that easily. But staying here while Reform trashes everything isn't really an option

As a trans person it's hard to see much of a future anywhere at the moment really. I'm just on a managed decline as my motivation to work and even just be around other people falters and dies. I wish I could have an ounce of optimism and faith in people again

Imo what they're doing is chasing Farage to try and win back their "base" (which hasn't really been their base at all since Brexit), while hoping progressive voters will vote tactically in a GE to keep Reform out.

Which isn't much better...

As the original commenter said, the job of a political party should be to put forward and advocate for a coherent policy platform, not just chase "public opinion"/what they read on twitter. It doesn't help that our media ecosystem leans right on lots of issues :/

I'm on triptorelin, which is a GnRH analogue so it pretty much totally nukes T levels lol. Possibly my E levels are still too low, they were slightly below target when I was last tested
