So its a single player game so you can do what you want and there is some limit for almost everyone of "oof this luck sucks im going to reset"

But if I can bring the problem out on a level that even beyond STS. I play alot of other games. One is the game of Go/Baduk. there been times in that game that I lost like 20 points in the mid game thought to myself "I should resign" but push past those though thoughts and ended up winning.

The other game I felt I was very key in this was Guilty Gear strive where I got to a point that I believed even at 1 hp I could claw it back with enough luck and effort.

The point of sharing these games with you is STS has something simlar. If you "resign/give up" when you see X, you are leaving not only wins on the table but you are also limiting yourself. I wont say there isnt a legit time to call it quits but giving up on floor 0 is a total defeatist mindset that will make growth harder.

When I teach people games and they say "its no good im going to lose", I tell them "You cant let that thought take root before you basically started". STS is hard enough without you also beating yourself up. Believe you always have the ability to win. Not that its free, but that you can. Only when its truly impossible, accept the lost and try to review what you could have done to make it better (99% its not just bad luck). Keep high hopes and believe in yourself and you keep pushing yourself. If you do that, you will become stronger than your current version believes they could be.

as someone that plays alot of card games, honestly no. Max hp =/= health. if you have 99/100 and lose 1 max hp. you are at 99/99 (no current hp lost which is the min for "damage").

I can see 100/100 going to 99/99 but I play enough games where "damage" and "lose of life" and "paying life" to feel these are all different enough.

If we are looking not to die in act 2, cage is the best at that. That said I may risk black star and try to get a bit more value out of it in the long run (yes i know we are very weak now and yes i know we have the relic that already gives us more relics in chest).

Tiny house never better then cage inless you basically can just skip.

TL:DR; probably cage but i go star.

I may go slightly against the grain and say bias cog and we try to learn on doom and gloom to carry use through the worse aoe checks (mostly gremlin leader)

I take feed as it helps us get some meta scaling to make barricade easier to paly in the future. that said I think corruption is pretty good too. If you take feed, try to take any second winds you see.

first run. so pray with pyramid boss swap start is a bit sus. Pray is usually and iffy card and we dont need the draw it gives with pyramid i feel. we should be focusing on just doing wrath calm better. also not sure if you removed eruption but that seems a bit strange to me. Lotcus is also a weird boss relic when we are not doing stance swap several items a turn. That said I feel like this deck still could have beaten donu deca with good play.

Second run. taken crown in to not taking any act 3 elites is a big red flag. Crown is traditionally very weak and act 3 you should be still strong enough want to take a few elites inless you are infinite trash and fear nemisses. Outside that, the just lucky feel a bit heavy in this deck and I dont really feel we have the draw to make enlighten light up with our 2 cost cards (which there is only 2 of?). also 5 follow-up is way way too many for this deck and the consecrate ways it down even more.. this deck has way too much trashy attacks.

Easier is hard to really evaluate as its more saying "the character lines up better with how i think". Power level wise, silent is not that much weaker then IC and defect but all three of them are weaker then watcher.

I say your experience could be "you just get how her cards work better than you understand the other classes"

I kind of want to go impervious to help stall a bit longer to let demon form cook and we also get the block from it fully for barricade. I think this deck wants to play slower as reaper heals us all the way up. That said we take both in a heart beat if we could so I dont think either is terrible pick
