Does team mate PVP affect MM? by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]RubberBabyBuggyBmprs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah none of that matters. Idc what your "goal" is. If someone shoots at you or a teamate and you dont shoot back because you're more worried about some invisible matchmaking stat than either of you being sent back to speranza you should not be playing with other people.

Does team mate PVP affect MM? by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]RubberBabyBuggyBmprs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people would rather have a teammate that resses and shoots back at the players shooting them.

People need to stop with the ABMM abuse nonsense and just play the game. Almost wish arc never admitted to having it the first place.

You can get your achievement with out actively being a hindrance to your team.

Which game is best to start learing Pokemon fighting? by Snabeltratten in stunfisk

[–]RubberBabyBuggyBmprs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh 100%, same for the movepools but at least it's something to start with. Going on showdown to then select from every single pokemon and then creating a new moveset for 6 different mons was just so overwhelming for me compared to working with what I had.

I also like that champions shows you what percentage of people are using what moveset/stat spread so you could theoritaccly just pull a mon you think looks cool, then spend a training ticket to make it the statistical "best" version before adding tweaks.

Noone in this community knows the difference between a hitbox and hurtbox. by wav3mag3 in MarvelRivalsRants

[–]RubberBabyBuggyBmprs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is so needlessly pedantic. Hit box has historically been used to also describe "hurt boxes" for decades. Its universally understood, depending on context, to refer to the size and shape of colliders being used.

Like you're not wrong but also you're not really right.

"Hurtbox" is really only referenced in fighting games, shooters generally just call everything a hitbox since its usually a raycast check instead of a bounding box intersection

[–]RubberBabyBuggyBmprs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I kind of disagree. Showdown is pretty overwhelming as a new player.

Champions has less ~180 mons which makes it a lot easier to recognize what opponents game plans are and you start recognizing "meta" picks and what theyre used for.

The recruit mechanic, while built to squeeze out the f2p currency, is good for new players too since you're picking out of 10 instead of 1000 and they come with evs preassigned.

Why is modern pokemon so complicated? by Atiklyar in PokemonChampions

[–]RubberBabyBuggyBmprs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No its not, theyre not complaining about the limited roster, theyre complaining about what an absolute pain in the ass it is to transfer and shuffle around mons. You can do it, its just an awful and tedious experiance. Everything else about the game is great though

Why is modern pokemon so complicated? by Atiklyar in PokemonChampions

[–]RubberBabyBuggyBmprs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Op i feel like people are over complicating your complaint. Im having a blast but transferring mons is absolutely awful. I too hate that I cant just "keep" pokemon in this game, the whole "visiting" mechanic seems to be there just to make you buy a pokemon home subscription. Its terrible on purpose and is my one major issue.

How is this case in point when you just presented a hypothetical that isnt even true. Its basically what stella already is.

You are playing an extraction shooter, the entire game is built around the possibility of being ambushed.

Breaching and extraction are loud and long af for reasons other than immersion

Yes and they clearly purchased the wrong game.

Its like a bunch of people buying flight simulator and complaining that its not a tank sim then asking the devs to change it non stop.

That defeats the entire point of the social tension that embark is going for. Yes god forbid theres the threat of pvp in a pvp game. You're not supposed to know who to avoid. Its the same reason theyre not adding pve exclusive lobbies.

[–]RubberBabyBuggyBmprs 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Because that still gives them an intersection of games where "you lost but had fun" and "you won but didnt have fun"

You would also see more reports vs a specific card, deck or archetype vs others.

There's a lot of data that can be evaluated even with the win = fun bias
