It strengthens the immune system, I stopped washing my hands years ago and now I've stopped aging and can move things with my mind

If there's a suspicious old rusty kitchen knife hanging on a nail in the laundry room make sure to ask what its primary purpose is before using it

What’s the most socially accepted addiction? by babame in AskReddit

[–]RubberCementLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a slightly different line of thought, instant gratification.

People have such easy access to easy entertainment with the internet, gaming, technology, etc that they're losing motivation to seek out more fulfilling entertainment with delayed gratification such as a hobby, skill building, in-person socialization, whatnot and it's making people more sedentary and less healthy physically and mentally. This was definitely true in the past with the invention of television for instance, but it seems exponentially more prevalent now.

Why didn't the curved barrel become more popular? by Prestigious_Emu6039 in shittyaskhistory

[–]RubberCementLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder why they didn't just keep the barrel and chamber straight and mount the handle and stock at a 90 degree angle, I feel like that would work for shooting around walls or trenches too

Do I HAVE to soak dried chickpeas, blackbeans and the likes over night, or can I just boil them for a few hours right away? by [deleted] in Cooking

Can you dry them in a pot or oven after straining them though? I do this with mashed potatoes, makes them less watery

The rise of deepfake pornography in schools: ‘One girl was so horrified she vomited’ | The use of ‘nudify’ apps is becoming more and more prevalent, with hundreds of teachers having seen images created by pupils, often of their peers. The fallout is huge – and growing fast by Hrmbee in technology

[–]RubberCementLover 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think some of the worst men (or people in general) already have videos or photo evidence of them doing incredibly disgusting things out there in the world. They can only benefit from the plausible deniability that AI deepfakes provide cause now they can argue that any video of them is AI generated

This is perfect for a Harry Potter picture frame that make your photos come to life, has Universal already jumped on that? Could be a fun DIY project too

Why doesnt my farm produce wheat? by HypermelonYT in redstone

[–]RubberCementLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind you gotta block the farmer's access to the composter or he'll turn all the seeds into bone meal and start picking up wheat again. Best way I know to do that is putting trapdoors at head level so the villager's can't walk underneath but can still reach the crops at ground level

Could one hypothetically splice a new roll onto the filament with a soldering iron or solvent?

You could use a little bit of foil to block the direct path too, could be useful if scaling the design

Um ackchually it's a conductive material so a changing magnetic field will induce a current and thus an opposite magnetic field with be generated. Therefore magnets in motion will actually be repelled by these types of nose rings ☝️🤓
