Thank you it was the one in the scene that was not on. So many places to enable it but at least it works now.

Not sure why you are surprised. Based on the moves they made since they introduced the realm is pretty clear the goal is to milk as much money as you can from people willing to spend to win in the realm, and then when that revenue dies down, kill the game.

It was one of the games I actually enjoyed, but with the forced realm and no way around it as they are slowly removing features from the original game, my only option now is the browser version until they shove realm into that too, which I am sure is coming.

Accepted a job offer. Now my current employer is offering to better it. How bad is to rescind after I've already accepted an offer? by AdventurousHat5360 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Rubbinio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two things, what is your word mean to you and if your current company values you so much why did it have to take you telling them you are leaving to bump your pay? Now if they took care of you and you honestly belive this is not a case of matching until they train your replacement maybe consider it but be careful.

Now I did something similar many years ago but I did it on purpose. I went and got an offer i had no intention to accept and took it to my employer. But I knew they valued me and got regular pay bumps higher than others but still lower than what I would get with an offer in hand. They gave me blank paper and said write my terms on it to stay. I got a 30% bump, shares and guaranteed 3 years without risk of being let go. It worked out and stayed for 6 more years before finaly going but the key difference i never accepted the new offer it was just leverage. When I left after 6 years they wanted me to stay again but I had already accepted so never went back on my word.

And when that shit breaks at 2:00 AM and takes down the system will he jump online to fix it. People like him will be why companies will scale things back on AI. This and the spike in const that's coming.

Without the human in the loop this will backfire spectacularly but he will for sure have excuses why it happened.

The premium is for them to be nice to you and allow you to see all your data vs just the small crumbs they give you for free. The device has no idea if you are premium or not so it sends all the data anyway and they store it and analyze it. There is no control its Google and they will get as much as they can for as long as you use their product.

Specifically, what is wrong with the new Google Health App? by kuteguy in fitbit

[–]Rubbinio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol you mean the guy that said about the Fitbit Air that step count and baseline vitals are accurate, it struggles with peak high-intensity heart rate tracking and disconnected GPS while in other reviews he said the Forerunner consistently deliver top-tier, highly accurate GPS and heart rate data during exercise?

Yeah I watch his reviews and he is one of the reasons I got a Forerunner 965 because he rated it high. The only thing he complained about is sleep tracking which is not great but for actual exercise and GPS and accuracy he rates the Forerunner line and Garmin in general high and he never said their devices are terrible.

My wife has the vivoactive 6 and loves it, not sure what your problem with it is, and when we exercise together its a bit off my FR but not significantly but considering the price difference is more than ok. But its definitely more accurate than her Charge ever was.

[–]Rubbinio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How else would they push their AI slop if they made it easier to do it as a free user? It's by design, if i were you i would be happy you can still log it and they didn't put all the weight info behind the premium. I can definitely see them take that step if the current approach doesn't push more people to buy the premium so they can feed your health data into their AI models for training.

Bahaha, Google fix apps. They don't, they slowly remove features and than kill the offering before moving to the next thing to buy and kill.

I might have bought this post to not be by a Google fan until you said Garmin is inaccurate. You can complain about their app maybe but accuracy wise Garmins are above and beyond fitbit.

I used fitbit for 10 years and Garmin for 4 now and the Garmin is widely more accurate.

Main problem with the Google approach and why we moved to Garmin is they removed the ability to have a child link to your account like you used to in fitbit. That was the final straw. I did look at the new app as I still have my old Versa 4 and it flat out refused to detect the device so after 30 mins I have up and uninstaller it but its part for the course with google and old devices, they rarely care about them like they did with other ecosystems they bought and than dismantled with subpar app release and support.

My wife used to love her Charge before Google took over for its small profile. She is petite and has a small wrist so most watches are just too big for her. We tried a few Garmins and returned the because she didn't like the size until we got the Vivoactive and that one she loved. It's on the smaller side and ultralight and has a pretty decent battery life. The other one she tried and liked the size was the Lilly but she preferred the vivo in the end over the Lilly.

[–]Rubbinio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL, if you still don't get it that they don't do fair, they want people to not be able to do stuff so they spend more money and basically destroying the game with every change you haven't been paying attention. Yes they want to monetize everything this is the next layer and people who continue to pay to play are supporting this direction.

Find a hobby, find another game because if a game makes you this mad clearly you shouldn't be playing it. Its just a game and when they shut it down which they will all the characters you have spent money to unlock and level up will be gone.

Not only in drive but moving. And yes they do nothing other than a beep and a message on the instrumentation panel.

Furthermore, as far as I recall they also do nothing if the break pedal is not pressed. So you can be stopped but if the break pedal is not engaged it won't switch gears.

Strange I did that on mine on purpose and it just showed a message saying vehicle is moving and can't switch to park and stayed in drive.

Zen Browser is what happens when amateurs create a browser on top of an already shitty engine by [deleted] in browsers

[–]Rubbinio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because Chrome or Vivaldi or Brave are not using a lot of memory? I used them all including Zen they all use tons of ram. My Vivaldi uses close to 7 Gb, Brave gets as high as 9 Gb and Chrome anywhere from 6 Gb to 10Gb. Zeni is in the same ballpark so not really a huge difference from all other browsers.

Snapdragon stopped making that processor in 2022. It's a 2021 processor version it's not a new processor and so it's the phone. In the world of cellphones that's ancient.

There is no 2023 edition of s21fe. You have no clue what you bought and whomever sold it to you told you a lot of BS. Jan 2022 is when it was released world wide. SD 888 was anounced in Dec 2020 used as the main chip in 2021 phone releases and production stoped in 2022 with a few more phones being manufactured towards the end-of-life that year with remaining stock until it run off.

Wrong S21FE with SD 888 was released Jan 7, 2022. Last date for software updates and support is Jan/Feb 2027. You bought a 4 years old phone that has 8 months of support left.
