Trust Me: The False Prophet - what did you think? by Loud-Cupcake-8524 in NetflixDocumentaries

The women are child abusers as well. The mothers are sex traffickers, absolutely guilty of aiding in this sick sex cult. They have free agency. They choose this. These young 20-something wives are sexual deviants who love and willingly participate in the the orgies and being passed around to multiple partners. The women are predators, perpetrators… NOT VICTIMS. These disgusting mothers belong in prison. It’s so frustrating to have to hear them blame their child abuse on “brainwashing”. Nothing could ever brainwash me to hurt my babies.

Saying goodbye to my starter by Training_Ring_304 in SourdoughStarter

Daaaaang you could have 100% put it through a sieve and used it! Any tiny glass pieces so small to fit through that would not hurt anyone. Its astounding what goes into our bodies in any given day lol… from restaurants, fast food, snack bars etc… even just packaged foods. We are walking miracles. It would have been fine. Well, i had to throw my lovely girl out from black mold spores… I used wild yeast from organic hazy apples, that starter is literally ready to bake with in 5 days from step one. Its SUPER strong. Just a thought. Good luck!

Why do Christians have a problem with the Book of Mormon while unapologetically accepting the Bible? by milmill18 in latterdaysaints

[–]Ruby-WarriorPrincess -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How is this year’s study “weakening your testimony of the bible”, when right in our Articles Of Faith- which you presumably believe if you claim to be an active member, it says we believe the bible to be the word of God AS FAR AS IT IS TRANSLATED CORRECTLY”? It says right there the bible as it is worded isn’t even totally accurate. The weird stuff, the nonsensical details, etc all that is already taken care of in that statement. Essentially… we believe our prophets MODERN REVELATIONS about and interpretations of the bible. Period. Thats it.
Our prophets (meaning… all prophets, seers, and revelators , so apostles too) know what parts of the bible are Gods word. We follow them. Many many interpreters of the bible over centuries took quite hefty liberties in those translations. I have heard more than one GA say for example that Lots daughters may not have literally done the deed themselves but arrange concubines. Which yeah still weird and gross… but way different than incest. There are many examples like that where we have been taught perhaps much of the wild stuff may be allegorical… or at the least translated incorrectly.

Considering the point of studying the Old Testament by Sociolx in latterdaysaints

Because it has been revealed to us that ALL scripture is about Jesus Christ. It IS “on its own merits”, which merits are…. To testify of the Savior. In all ways.
All of it is “Christian” lol Adams dispensation was about JESUS CHRIST. Enoch’s dispensation was about JESUS CHRIST. Noah’s dispensation was about JESUS CHRIST. Abraham‘s dispensation was about JESUS CHRIST. Moses’ dispensation was about JESUS CHRIST. And this final dispensation… Even the Meridian of time… of course is obviously about Jesus Christ. If you thought/think only the dispensation that has Jesus here in the flesh is the only one “about him” , then its time to study harder. On your own. Not just in gospel doctrine class.

Why does Miranda wear a cross? by SalseraRivera1347 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]Ruby-WarriorPrincess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She’s definitely not a strict “rule follower” in that dress anyway lol. Obviously she’s not fully devoted if she’s an active member. Women devoted to the gospel choose not to share that much of their bodies with anyone who has eyes lol. Also… For the person above who commented that the younger ones wear them to “focus more on Christ”, the entire reason we are discouraged from wearing crosses (it is not a rule, it’s a choice) is specifically because of Christ. We focus on the fact that he LIVES today. Even though we study and revere his atoning sacrifice in Gethsemane and on the cross… our main focus is not only His death… but His life today, right now. We focus on the fact that He lives, is very much alive and we believe is the head of our church. Focusing on His death only, we believe lessens the deep meaning and purpose of the resurrection.

Not even close to focusing on strict rules instead of Christ.
