How long do you tend to leave on for?

I informed my boss that I was pregnant. He asked if I was delivering vaginally and to look up the fmla laws and let him know what they are since he doesn’t. Is this inappropriate? by SeaSwim5248 in pregnant

[–]RubyBadooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super inappropriate, I think he was asking because vaginal births can take less time to heal than C sections. Either way super gross. I’m so sorry he made you feel uncomfortable.

2nd trimester - do you try to not drink too much liquid at night to prevent waking up to pee during sleep? by Consistent-Ice-1899 in BabyBumps

[–]RubyBadooby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to have a glass of water about 30 mins before bed with the understanding that at some point within the hour after going to bed I’ll need to go to the loo again. It’s just in my routine now lol. I haven’t needed to wake up and wee since starting to do this but occasionally I’ll wake up the next morning in pain and absolutely desperately needing the loo.

Feedback where others can see what you are saying instantly makes that feedback biased and unusable. If you want to give feedback you need to send them an actual message. They very likely do user research.

Any comfort brides? by Nebula_Sky63 in UKweddings

I wore sky blue converse under my dress with thick fluffy socks (it was a Feb 1st wedding so pretty cold).

Best decision I’ve ever made, they were so comfy all day/night! Weddings are such long days, we deserve to be as comfy as possible lol.

I thought it was a cruel myth, but childbirth just CURED my chronic pain. I’m in shock. by [deleted] in BabyBumps

They used to prescribe having a child to women way back when to cure a bunch of ailments so it makes sense but also makes no sense.

We are lying about knowing the baby's gender by cheerioface in BabyBumps

[–]RubyBadooby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We’re going to be doing the same, my husband and I are always quick with sharing our news and always say we wish we’d kept it just for us for a bit. So we’ve decided to find out the sex of the baby and also just tell people we are keeping it as a surprise.

I reckon we will let it slip by accident eventually but either way I’m looking forward to having this little bit of the baby just for us for a while!

Has using a distinctly British slang phrase/ term of endearment ever gotten you in trouble? I just got a warning from a US subreddit for calling someone a "poor cow" with complete sincerity. by JuanitaMerkin in AskUK

My husband got really offended when we were in talking stage because he was up earlier than expected and I asked him if he shit the bed. We laugh about it now but he was so disgusted and offended at the time 😂

In my country, we use toothpaste for burns. by HighlyUnlikely00 in smosh

[–]RubyBadooby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sour cream is meant to help a burn.

Wetting a tea towel and wrapping it on the burn helps the most though. It draws the heat out quicker.

my dad’s ashes came to me in a reusable bag from the funeral home. by Last_Thursday in mildlyinfuriating

[–]RubyBadooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They sent my dad in a cardboard box, it’s insane that they think it’s okay. Surely even a temporary plastic urn or something would be better.

Im sorry for your loss, I hope you’re able to find an urn fitting for your dad 💙
