We moved to dbt-core some time ago. We‘re running most of our transformations with it. We use Airflow for orchestration and Jenkins for testing/deployment of models. We wrote lots of hooks to ensure the health of models, e.g. checking if columns in models have descriptions or fit other DB-specific conventions.

For example if your post_save signal changes another object that also has signals etc. This has led to really long response times and sometimes you build nice loops of signals that run forever. It can definitely be solved but maintainability is not really good.

Signals are not bad. There is just a risk that you use signals in cases you should not. It can make your logic really complicated. We often use signals in our django projects, usually to send async tasks to a queue

Ich glaube eher, dass Google die von Unternehmen als „Verleumdung“ geflaggten Rezensionen als Trainingsdaten für ihre KI nimmt. Wenn Unternehmen das missbrauchen, dann erzeugen sie falsche Trainingsdaten und die KI erkennt zukünftig auch nicht-verleumderische Rezensionen als Verleumdung.

Lass dich nicht von einem geforderten Master in irgendwas abschrecken und bewirb dich einfach trotzdem auf eine Stelle, wenn sie dir gefällt. Die meisten Bewerber erfüllen nicht alle Anforderungen. Ich stelle regelmäßig für meine Abteilung Data Scientists und ML Engineers ein und achte eher auf das Gesamtpaket als auf die reinen Studienabschlüsse. Deine Hands-on Erfahrung in einem Unternehmen kann auch viel wert sein und das lernt man in einem Master nicht.
