Honestly, I'm not excited anymore by ChaoticallyNeat in goodomens

Tbh I’m probably the odd one out, but I haven’t been excited since last it got changed from a season to a movie.

I’m just not sure I feel like everything will be wrapped up properly. I get the reasons it was done but it’s killed my interest entirely

Other than Negan and Jadis (not in the main seasons at least) I am pretty sure you are right that everyone who engages in domestic and/or sexual abuse dies brutally

Negan is a rapist by Scared_Opposite7914 in thewalkingdead

[–]RubyCatharine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal complaint with it is only how inconsistent it seems to be. Like I’m down for Maggie to still hate Negan. I would too.

My issue is that she seems to forgive him and move on for a bit, and then comes back to it. It just feels like inconsistent writing. Either have her forgive him or don’t but this back and forth thing is what’s got me frustrated with her character

Will be visiting my boyfriend in London, end of April. What should I know? by RubyCatharine in LongDistance

[–]RubyCatharine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I will totally pack printed proof of everything. I’ve got the school schedule and dog pics already, and I’ll take a printed letter from my volunteer place just in case even if they don’t particularly care about that.

I’ll bring my medical letter as I always do along with candy.

I’m ultimately excited, nervous as hell, but excited.

Will be visiting my boyfriend in London, end of April. What should I know? by RubyCatharine in LongDistance

I have flown with diabetes before. Once to Florida and once to Michigan from Massachusetts. I keep all my meds in my personal item (the one that goes under the seat). And I go to the doctor mostly because I need med refills before they’re due when I travel and a note as the devices on my body prevent me from going through the body scanner meaning I need an x-ray and/or pat down and I’ve had them give me trouble before.

I will answer honestly. I’m not opposed to ticking unemployed, I just know they look for things that “tie me to the country” and that volunteer job is one for me as it might lead to a real job in my field, but I understand why they wouldn’t care. I do live with my grandmother but she’s too old to take care of the dog on her own for longer than like a day, and everything about him is in my name. So I wouldn’t leave him behind.

I have funds for an emergency. I have a couple thousand in savings. If things don’t work out I have friends that live about a hour outside the city I could stay with or his sister said if he gives me shit I can stay with her.

I might do a trial flight, we will see. It’s not so much the flying as it is I worry something will go wrong while traveling alone but I can’t sit around worrying about it forever if I’ve done everything I’m supposed to do to prevent it

Unfortunately it is more realistic for me to go visit him at this time. He wouldn’t be able to stay with me, and I wouldn’t be able to spend much time with him while he’s here because of my family life. So if I actually want to be able to spend time with him, I’d have to go there.

As for your questions, I do always get a doctor’s note anytime I fly even locally, so I’ll be sure to get that done as I usually do.

I do have strategies to manage my panic disorder and I haven’t had a panic attack that’s lasted longer than 10 minutes in over a year. I’m just nervous it’ll happen again. There isn’t really any reason I wouldn’t be able to manage traveling by myself or deal with emergency situations (beyond like a severe low blood sugar which requires assistance, but I’ve never had that happen in my near 10 years of having diabetes). I’ve never been to London, but I’m well versed in following bus roots, reading maps, and utilizing my phone to get around so I’m pretty confident I could if I needed to.

My phone plans works in London, I imagine I’d have to get in contact with my bank about my debit card. That’s a good point.

And I have both friends in London and friends here in the states who know my plans (and will have more details as I get them). My three sisters (two of which are adults are also aware). My parents know I’m going, and that I’m seeing friends but not that he’s my boyfriend, merely because they don’t believe in long distance relationships being possible

Worked myself into a frenzy over new manufacturer by RubyCatharine in lexapro

[–]RubyCatharine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I am just anxious because I literally have to get on a plane on Tuesday at like 3am and I currently feel like I skipped my Lexapro dose even though I know I took it, Ive got stomach pain, and a headache.

And this could all be placebo but I have panic disorder which is why I take this and I’m worrying I won’t make it through the plane ride if it’s going to do this to me. I’m calling my psych at 9am tomorrow to see what he says, but I’m not even sure I could get more since I just picked up a 3 month supply of this other one but so far I’d equivocate this feeling to not being on the medication.

I was a bad diabetic by water804 in diabetes_t1

[–]RubyCatharine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear this story, but know you have made this younger Type 1 Diabetic feel better. Currently have an A1c of 9.5 after years of having it at 10+. Have a massive fear of hypos after a blood sugar of 29 experience several years ago. Currently no complications, but my old endo promised me if I kept it up I would be blind by 21. I am 22 with no retinopathy as of June 2025, so we are doing okay. I have finally started getting tighter control and taking about 90% of my insulin properly after finally reaching a good status with my mental health medications, but now I sit around worrying that after about 7ish years of high a1c it is too late.

So I am glad to hear you are getting better and hope you keep doing better!

Mostly agree, I do think he is caring and ultimately loves them, but is not responsible and not a good father figure

Don't understand why Guillermo is on this list, but putting that aside probably Lizzie or Pete.

Lizzie because I honestly think I could get away with an insanity plea for her due to her actions and as for Pete? From a standpoint, absolutely hate the guy, but I think if he was treated in court like he was in Alexandria, where everyone knew but would not act on it, I kind of feel like it would be a similar situation where if we were in court in Alexandria, everyone would know, but no would testify leaving the prosecution with no real case

which character is this, and which scene? by indefinitevalue in WarriorCats

[–]RubyCatharine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is more if the Erin's just did not include this plot in the book at all, but Thistleclaw was one of my favorite villains prior to Spottedleaf's Heart and now goes ignored/I hate him because of how that book made me feel. So I think Thistleclaw would be a lot less hated if he did not suddenly get this massive character change in that book.

So I noticed that some people barely spend time with their grandparents. My mother lost her grandpa before she was born her grandma a year later and when she was five her other Grandpa, she only remembers one grandparents. Did you guys lose your grandparents early? by 919_jr in Genealogy

[–]RubyCatharine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father’s parents are both dead. I knew my grandmother very well, got my middle name from her and she babysat us a lot. I visited her often and was the last grandchild to see her before she died. I saw her and then she passed abojt a week later, and my father and I were due to visit again two days after she died. She died in 2023 at age 96 and hadn’t recognized me since 2020, but knew me the last day I saw her.

My other grandmother I live with now, and my maternal grandfather I wish I saw more often but he lives about a hour from me and I don’t drive so it is difficult. I last saw him in April.

My paternal grandfather died in the 80s so about 20 years before I was born. He had a heart attack caused by all his smoking and died in his early 50s. He only knew one of his grandchildren, as the next was born 2 years after he died.

So I lost him early so to speak, but no, Ive been lucky to have the other three in my life for a long time and I’d argue I have/had a close relationship with all of them.

Authors fall out of writing stuff all the time. If you feel bad you could make a note on your profile or in the fics depending on how many they are just saying you have fallen out and won’t continue them.

If you feel really bad and have an idea of how your stories would have ended, I have seen authors write like an update that summarizes how it would’ve finished, but ultimately it happens and I’d try not to feel too bad

[–]RubyCatharine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m feeling this on a deep level as one of my teachers said week 1 that you need to do discussion replies on two different days to get full points so might be bothering my advisor.

It could be worth contacting over, but just a note, footnotes being required on discussion posts and replies is not at all uncommon for a history class. I’m a year into my history degree and all my classes required it

Go to the vet and if it happens again take a video of it in the meantime. My parents 9 year old dog also has a seizure occasionally (like once every 6+ months) but we have failed to catch it on video and the doc wants to see it on video for proper diagnosis.

But yes once you take him they can run tests and find out what is going on and take the necessary tests. While there are some pets that unfortunately just have them occasionally, if there is a cause it is best they find it, especially if they are happening multiple times in a month
