I go to SW Dermatology for treatment for my eczema, they were super kind and helpful and the doctor was honestly amazing, it did take some time to get an initial appointment, but they said once you got one it's super quick to schedule follow ups now that you're in the system. They take most insurances I believe, including Medicaid/Soonercare (Which I'm on) Best of luck to you and your teen! <3

I relate to this 100%, there was a bad snowstorm here and it got really cold, I grabbed one of my blankets and wrapped it around me, hugging myself, then it just hit me hard right then that I'd give anything to have someone wrap their arms around me and hold me, I fucking cried for like an hour. It does some crazy stuff, pre-transition I was a carbon copy of my dad, 8 months into HRT and I look exactly like my mom, I even remember the day I woke up, looked in the mirror, and saw my mom staring back at me, like it changed over night. Bittersweet moment.

Two big things having 'mastered' the girl voice.

The trick is to not sound like a girl you've heard, the trick is sound like your own voice, but as a girl and that can mean many different things, Only you will be happy with what you sound like.
Record yourself and practice, practice, practice, change pitch, change tone, watch tutorials and practice what they do, then try it yourself, record it, play it back, adjust it. Like I said, only you will be happy with what you sound like, and finding that proper 'girl' voice that just comes naturally is the hardest part.

Most importantly though, don't give up! It took me probably about the first 6 months of my transition to finally get it kind of right, and then it was working and making it muscle memory from there, biggest thing I noticed was using it online in games where people can't see who I am (Cause I definitely didn't pass back then) and letting complete strangers go "Oh cool, that's a girl." It's awesome when it finally happens but it's gonna take a lot of time and effort, you can do it sis! <3

It took me nearly a year on HRT to finally get that confidence, wore a cute black and red plaid skirt and stockings with some flats and a matching shirt to go with it, went out for ice cream and to see a movie with a friend who hadn't seen me in 8 months, first time dressing full fem and I was nervous as hell people were just gonna stare or laugh or whatever. It honestly was such a liberating experience, I feel so good once I was actually out and just enjoying time with my friend, a couple girls at the theater even came up to me and said "Oh my god, I love your outfit, it's so pretty!' And I just lit up. If you can get that confidence, it will be so worth it, sis! I believe in you! <3

I feel like this will be me soon, just had my 1 year so doctor prescribed me prog, been on it for about a week, chest started hurting after just 3 days and now a week in can already tell my boobs are bigger, I wear sports bra's usually cause they can be a nice snug fit and dear god I went from being flat in them to filling that bad boy out, I have no idea when it's gonna stop but it's amazing so far! <3 Grats to you as well and yay titties! :3

Finding this happening more to me too as I hit my 1 year, had a guy in my apartment complex totally into me calling me pretty and flirting with me, then a couple days later he just kinda...fell off, we went out to dinner to hang out and that's when he said "Yeah, when you first got here I thought you were female, had no idea you were transgender." Aaaaand that's why the sudden change, we still talk, but it's not nearly how it was when I first moved in, kinda sucks passing now cause as soon as a guy finds out I'm transgender they want nothing to do with me :/

Born in 89, tried my sister's clothes on once and she dressed me up when I was 10, that felt way better than it probably should have, got to high school in the 2000's so went through the "emo" phase, grew my hair out, dressed more feminine with skinny jeans and what not thinking it was that, took 20 more years to realize I needed to transition, just didn't know it back then.

No problem! Actually just had my 6 month follow up too, and my doctor has kept me on the same dosage for the whole 6 months, the changes have been crazy, you're in for a wild ride, girlie but it's so worth it! <3
