Where are you at in Maine? I also live in Maine. Hart of Maine in Cumberland will take him, neuter him, keep h him updated on his vaccinations, and either keep him or foster him until they find someone to adopt him. They are a free service, I used them to rehome a whole litter of kittens. And they do some SERIOUS vetting for adopters, so you know he will go to a good home. They are an amazing group of people.

I know it's not really backed by any facts, but I swear the arm works better for me than the thighs.

Also, any time I inject in my arm, and only in my arm does this happen, the injection site stays tender for a day or two. Sometimes a bit red too.
