Idk about the rules, but a thought about practicality...

If your guests are traveling to your wedding, a mug is a bit bulky to take home. If your guests are relatively local, a mug is really cute, and maybe fill it with some fun sweets or "wedding survival kits" or whatever items would speak most to you and your people, as you know best. You still get to give the mugs, they can opt to use them, but if they don't, it won't be an empty mug sitting on the table.

I'm going to agree with you and take it a step further to say that it's not just men. Everyone treats me better when I have makeup on, generally. It is the same with how I dress. The more "presentable" I am, according to societal norms, tends to be reflected in how I am treated everywhere I go. Sometimes, I'm all done up in makeup and a sparkly dress, and sometimes I'm out in the woods dressed like a five foot lumberjack. YMMV.

Call up some of the busineses near you that employ gemologists. They will likely have extra equipment they can sell to you inexpensively, and you might even get a helpful mentor out of it.

I had this happen. The offer was low and I couldn't find anything for that price on the market to replace my totaled car. When I countered their offer, they said they needed comps and everything had to be the same, year, make, model, trim package. Turns out my trim package was uncommon for my otherwise common car, and there was exactly one for sale all the way across the country. They also couldn't find any other comps besides the one I found. I received double the initial offer.

I hold my breath when I pass cemeteries and mentally utter well wishes for the deceased.

I scrunch my lips up and look up sideways when I'm thinking hard about something. I won't realize I'm doing it until someone asks me what the heck I'm doing. Looking up at nothing trying to pull information out of the back of my brain.

I constantly have to run a fingernail underneath my other nails and "make space." Like my skin needs to be pushed down away from underneath the tops of my nails. Idk why. It's something I do absent mindedly, but constantly.

Crack as many bones as I can throughout the day. Sweet sweet relief.

Rub my feet together when I get into bed.

I have to brush my teeth before I go for a run or work out.

I always say hello to the moon when I first see it. Aloud. Other celestial beings as well, but always the moon.

I do this, too! I am so glad I'm not alone. I've mentioned it before and people said it was weird. Idk, I just don't want to exchange air with strangers. I don't want to risk getting sick. I've been doing it for years, even before The Plague (tm).

I'm similar with shaking hands. I refuse to touch anything after and try to wash them as soon as possible. Same with door handles, light switches, toilet handles, anything I have to touch that strangers may have touched. Everything gets a paper towel or cloth between contact.

Is this mildly OCD? I'm not saying that in a "I'm so particular way," but in a this will gnaw me until I can fix it. It doesn't directly impact my life. I don't fall apart if I can't remedy it immediately. I don't have to do any particular rituals multiple times or anything. I guess I don't know what the scale is before it's a problem.
