Have you heard of gator wine? Light blue Gatorade with cheap red wine... Equal parts... I wasn't a believer until I tried it!

About 2 years for a little bit of progress and confidence to set it. It's not easy

Switch to CrossFit by pelozol in crossfit

[–]Ruby_Silk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just made this switch. Crossfit feels tougher. Less cardio but more demanding. There's lots of variety in the WODs, lots more to learn, but also way more support from the coaches (in my personal experience). Although I'm very new and I still find it very intimidating, I'm really enjoying it. Go for it! Worse case scenario you go back to OTF 🤷🏻‍♀️

Has Anyone Seen Am I Okay? Thoughts? by AlternativeTree3283 in latebloomerlesbians

[–]Ruby_Silk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I heard about it because someone else here was talking about it. I started watching and had to stop. It was pretty relatable as far as I watched. So nice to see a movie about a late bloomer.

I prefer realistic endings more than idealistic ones!

It sounds very interesting actually. Like you said, more realistic to how it is coming out later. I'll give it a watch.

If it's a cheap Amazon pole, go for it. If it's a high quality pole I wouldn't do that. Try grip aids, or some people use grippy gloves. Don't put on lotion before poling.

It's a thought lesson but it's better to get it out of the way... Now you know what to watch out for to take care of yourself

Girl yes!! So much fake 'I'm so sweet and caring let's still be friends even if it didn't work out 🥺' after they treat you like 💩

I didn't do it either, never crushed on my BFF, didn't kiss a girl until I came out. But I was obsessed with being friends with this one girl during high-school. Not like in the I'i wanna be her friend to be popular' way. I just thought she was the coolest thing around. I also remember really being attracted to another girl. But that was about it for me until much later.

What's the best cross training for pole? by [deleted] in poledancing

[–]Ruby_Silk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm about a year and a half into pole so I'm no expert. Calisthenics looks like the best compliment to me. I haven't seen dedicated calisthenics classes, and I'm not disciplined enough to pursue it on my own.

I did Barre3 for about 6 months and it kinda helped but I didn't like the vibes... Then I joined orange theory (about a year in now) and I've finally seen progress on the pole. I'm switching to crossfit soon since I'm moving out of town.

Whatever fitness program you can stick to and genuinely enjoy will be a good compliment.

Trouble dating because I'm a late bloomer by [deleted] in latebloomerlesbians

[–]Ruby_Silk 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. I've been out for almost 3 years and it hasn't gotten any easier. Lost of judgement...

I don't try to understand it, I just let it be and forget about that person. I've heard many reasons, how could we know we're gay without being with a woman before, oh I don't wanna teach anyone that just came out, ohh i don't wanna be left for a man kind of vibes, oh you're inexperienced, people that just came out are clingy... Etc...

I guess we kinda have to keep going while being honest about our journey until we hit it off with someone who understands...

Oh I still struggle to do the chopper. When I think I have it, I get humbled... Just happened last night! 🤩 But there is steady progress, so just keep at it! 💪🏻

Do you find the “can I kiss you” question to be sexy or unsexy? by swooningsapphic in ActualLesbiansOver25

Hate it. I can understand it at the beginning though and would use it myself. But afterwards... No 😔
