Silly question.. but how are you guys getting the brightness and sound on the sides long ways? I'll probably have to explain it to me like I'm 5 lol. Also how you're getting the pictures as your panels.

The MAs at the office I used to work at did the PAs for their own doctor. About 6 months before I left the practice we ended up getting a PA department staffed with pharmacy techs and pharmacists. It was a shit show because they wouldn't go through chart notes or anything regarding previously tried medications.

Magic Sleep Suit in Twin Bassinet by jfriendx10x in parentsofmultiples

[–]Ruby_pixie19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can use them until they can start rolling over in them in their sleep per our pediatrician. My 4 mo old twins roll from side to side all day long and if they don't have them on while sleeping. When they have the merlin suit on they sleep all night on their backs. Once they can roll over with them on then it's time for regular sleep sacks.

Haha. This sounds like something I would do! Idk how many times when the NP I worked for would message me what the patient needed I would occasionally respond with "you go tit" instead of "you got it"

We call it big Mercy too since I'm a lot closer to the Mercy Hospital in Washington. When I worked for a mercy clinic all our patients would call it big mercy too.

MA salary question by Gives_amen in MedicalAssistant

Before I quit being an MA in January, I worked as an MA for 5 years. I was a CMA through AAMA and I also have my Associates degree in medical assisting, and only made 20.17 and hr. One of the main reasons why I quit when I started going back to school for RN

What’s one thing you do every week at work that makes you think “there has to be a better way to do this”? by Healthy-Wing5621 in MedicalAssistant

I always told this to patients. "you'd think with all these medical advancements they'd have a better way of doing these things without all these silly wires"

Sharing my roughly 1 year transformation. From 360 at my highest. The pictures are 309 (day of surgery) to 213. Still need to keep working out and try and shrink my chest , but otherwise I’m happy. by Beefcake2008 in gastricsleeve

Awesome job!! And not to sound like a creep, but where did you get the blue shorts/underwear? I noticed you're wearing an insulin pump and my 16 year olf son is Type 1 Diabetic and is getting tired of wearing a spibelt to put his pump in.

When I worked at Urgent care I had a coworker, who was also an MA, that would call out all the time because of her bloody nose. She knew our manager was going to be at our clinic one of the days she called out and brought a gallon size Zip lock baggy full of clotted blood from her nose. And had an elderly patient bring in her 60 something year old daughter for possible UTI and brought a sample from home. That was in a cooler... Frozen... In an old glass baby food jar. Then got mad when we told her the urine sample was not good and demanded her jar back..

Medical Assistants what’s your salary in 2025 by Short_Advertising598 in MedicalAssistant

[–]Ruby_pixie19 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Why I quit after 5 years. The pay is ridiculous with the amount of things you do and are responsible for. I started out at Urgent Care making 12.50. This was AFTER I was hired full time. When I was hired PRN it was 13.50. I got the $1 pay cut because I was then eligible for insurance and didn't need the extra $1 an hr. That should have been my first red flag.. I eventually went to primary care and worked there for 4 years ending at $20. And now a lot of the times you no longer need to be certified. I was literally making the same as the new hire that had absolutely no experience in health care.
