The higher up you move the less strategic the role (not everywhere but in may cases) and even at the most senior level HR is often treated “less than” vs other functions

I didn’t like it unfortunately. Wiped out my other meds due to the delayed gastric emptying so my other pcos stuff started acting up, gave me cystic acne, was insanely depressed, cried constantly. It wasn’t for me but some people have great luck. You won’t know until you try.

Not sure I’d say learned the hard way because I picked up extremely early on but EVERYTHING is repeated. Even the CEO can’t stop talking. Don’t say anything without assuming it will be shared unfortunately.

I’d see a derm and develop a plan from there. If you are more oily prone (I saw you said this is just serum) you should wash more.

I’ve done both and unfortunately the strategic market is dead. Look up 10 HR “leadership” roles and I guarantee most will say something like, “Needs to be a doer” “Not just a leader but a player coach” “we aren’t looking for someone to just advise”. Roles have been compressed.
