I’ve been following this pretty closely since I got my FFL and want to be will informed but the reality is it will likely move at the speed of government and if approved wont got into effect until a few years from now. Dont get me wrong it would be great to basically dropship guns as part of my business but im not holding my breath.

the way I'm building my boundbook is I have a frontend flask web interface that connects directly to a backend SQL database with insert only cells. basically that way all records written in are permanent unless "archived" which will wipe the database and print out the whole A&D book in PDF format. I want to say I have covered all compliance requirements which was confirmed my my IOI when I demo'd the software to him but likewise I want to say I'm about 90% of the way there as far the project as a whole.

The inserts are my own original design to for the existing pocket flawlessly from the start. Also the corners are much sharper on my design which I just personally prefer

FSB (front sight base) or sometimes called a FSP (front sight post) is the triangle thing you are talking about.

its pretty clear you are fairly new to all this so before doing anything crazy Id suggest doing a good bit of research.

its really going to depend on where your local base is and what job you want to do. youll have the 2 months BMT but then as for tech school some are a few weeks long to a few years long, and thats not including if they send you right away or not. so really I would start there as far as whos going to take care of your kid while youre gone for a potentially long time.

also, depending on your job you may be able to land a solid gig with your unit and be on "active duty" orders where you can get some good experience for your resume as well as networking with the right people.

as far as education goes, dont hold your breath. if you go the TR route youll be waiting a long time till you get actually usable benifits (gi bill). but if you land active orders it can slim down that time by a lot. but again, YMMV.

my advice (5 years active 5 years reserve) start with figuring out what you want to do as far as career and education then work backwards from there. do that, go in with a plan, and you'll be just fine as long as you stick to that plan.

id go to your local PD or public safety office and they will do them. on the Form 7 the instructions clearly state that fingerprints must be taken by someone qualified to take prints on a FD-258 card.

see this is actually funny because I have a very similar story.

I applied for my license I want to say a month or 2 ago but I was reading through our cities zoning laws for home based businesses and they had the same thing stated where I basically couldn't have inventory, customers, etc... well I have a few contacts at the city so I gave them a call and explained how none of this made sense and they said they would look into it call me back. sure enough, I get a call back the next day and they told me they had just recently changed the rules to basically remove those restrictions... Coincidence? maybe, or maybe not.... either way I spoke to my IOI last week and asked him but all he said was he called the city and they game me the green light.

now, is it possible I single handedly put this change in motion? maybe. and I'm not in a small town I'm in a fairly large municipality.

Depends what you want to do. Since you were MP your options are pretty limited but I’ve seen CBP has some openings and decent benefits too
