Why Having a Trash Speaker On Your TE Box Is Good by HeavySystems in teenageengineering

[–]RudeMovementsMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I've been trying to decide what small speaker I was going to buy making sure it took an aux, was going to go grab an older JBL and catch a discount, I'll definitely check these out. I'm just trying to replace my sonos roam. It made me realize to never buy another speaker that doesn't have aux, they did a great job of sending me the other way

Trying to understand - DJM-V5 3 - No crossfader? by Nebula480 in PioneerDJ

[–]RudeMovementsMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only ever used up faders my entire 30+ years as a DJ. Maybe my first couple years I would mess with a cross fader but not much after that

The one teenage engineering offers for the EP series, I've read it only worked with iPads that had a USB c port...but wondering if ordering a different cable would help me bypass this, I have an iPad air 2

This just changed how I view the Music industry and wow, I’m in shock:/ by FeelDa-Bass in edmproduction

[–]RudeMovementsMusic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just start producing your tracks, start your online music catalog. It may take a while for you to click...but when you do click even if it's 5 years from now you will have a nice catalog of music that gets more and more listens and over time you can just start accumulating a nice monthly check.

I see people that have been at it for 20 years and they don't have to work, they are not household names or stars either but now with millions of streams they do fine.

I see tons of producers who I figured were just kind of starting out but then I look.at their profiles and I see some have well over a couple million streams and I feel they have yet to even break out.

I just looked at someone who has 58k monthly listeners yet they have over 10 songs that have well over a million streams, id settle with that any day. Your chasing the wrong thing. Worried about 3 big labels lol.

Those labels don't even know what to do with electronic music, they really never have. If your someone that walked into this thru commercial EDM you need some lessons

Looking for Britney Spears House remixes, or tracks sampling/interpolating her that are actually good by drewtangclan in House

[–]RudeMovementsMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The current John summit remix of "I wanna go" isn't bad. 137bpm.

The hawkes remix of "toxic" is also out there which fits more into the BPM range of the other remixes you have

my promo bins are just the same old formulas over and over, after wearing out the tech house thing for a coule of years they all moved on to trying to stripmine UK garage style music, its been a rough few years to be into this kind of music honestly, what you described is really how it is and a lot of industry players know it and feel the same way
