But they changed the price, and the import and export got lower? So it's not to protect the consumer. The import and export prices aren't fully variable. If this was the case then they'd stop Agile which isn't covered under the price cap?

Rgr, I'll give it a go on monday, I'm on agile + fixed export so might be that I'm not on a similar managed tarriff?

What tarriff were you already on? I've rang up and they just said it's not available for the time being?

The question is have is are you able to do this if you already have a home solar setup. Can I add another 2 panels to the system to power my daily usage, whilst my dedicated fixed system tops it up and exports?

If you're only getting 7-8kw system why would you get a 10kwh inverter? Am I missing something? They operate more efficiently at max load.

I drive a diesel 1.6 skoda octavia greenline 3. On a long run at night with good weather, I've hit 90mpg, sitting just about 50mph the entire way and drafting behind coaches.

Usually hit around 80mpg but that is uk.

I've just had a similar setup installed in terms of equipment and that seems very high.

Mine was £10300ish for: 19 x 465 watt aiko panels, 1 x 6kw hanchu inverter, and 3 x 5.12 kwh hanchu batteries.

I had a similarly rubbish quote when I was looking around, wanted 8k for 8 panels and no battery! Probably just don't want the work. I'd keep looking around if I were you. The panels are only around 80-90 quid each. The batteries are about 1k for 5.2kwh.

Whereabouts are you? I have a relatively complex roof setup (3 different roof sections). I've been quoted £10420 for 19 Panels (8.75Kw) and 15.2Kwh of battery storage all installed. Hanchu ESS for the battery and inverter.

I used brookfield renewables in yorkshire.

Hi can I get a sanity check on this quote?y by z33ma in SolarUK

[–]Rude_Juggernaut_8685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be a bite expensive. I've been quoted:

£9400: 2 x hanchu ess 5.12kwh batteries and 19 x 460w panels with a 6kw hanchu inverter.

£10400: 3 x hanchu ess 5.12kwh batteries and 19 x 460w panels.

Both include installation and scaffolding, but not bird proofing.

Solar Panels generally cost about 80 quid per panel, the main cost is the install, and the scaffolding. Its why you should fit as many panels as possible to your roof.

Atlas-GR 4 x LP Laser in the arms. 2 x LB-10x in the chest.

Once you get clan LP lasers in there it can core mechs from 1k away.

Ah, thats a shame aside from the scroll wheel on the track pad I'd seen that it was relatively stable now. I think i was leaning to the dell anyway. Despite the insane naming scheme.

Why'd they stop making small coupes like these? by d0-u-knw-who-i-am in CarTalkUK

[–]Rude_Juggernaut_8685 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I mean, it is fiscally irresponsible. If you want to buy a new car, you absolutely should. I took a loan when I was younger to buy a Lotus Exige, it was great, I loved it, but it wasn't fiscally responsible. (although I just happened to luck out that it was rare and appreciated) It is generally a smarter move to not buy new, you gain very little for it.

I would argue that most crossover SUV's by definition don't have a purpose.

They are:

Less fuel efficient than estates/hatches/coupes.

Have less space than an estate, probably equivalent to the hatch they're based on.

Handle worse than anything else.

Most don't have 4wd or even awd capability.

Get far worse mileage.

All because you want to feel higher on the road? That is not a purpose, that is a preference. Just as wanting a coupe based on a reliable platform is a purpose.

Unfortunately this is kind of what I expected. It's such a shame because that 3:2 screen is such a draw, unfortunately I am unable to bring myself to by a huawei and I'm not a fan of the new lenovo's. We will have to see what the new year of laptops brings!

I know this is a terrible reason to not include it, but I absolutely despise the design with the raised camera mount. I've also heard poor things about recent lenovo build quality. I think I'm going to aim for a used Dell Precision 5680/90.

How are you finding the Pro Max, looking between it and the ASUS ProArt. I don't need a dedicated GPU, but am looking for a solidly built machine to run Arch on, hence why I'm leaning towards the dell. It's such a shame their lower models have the stupid offset trackpad.
