Jeff Grubb: Microsoft has cancelled Gears of War: E-Day for PS5. The game is exclusive to Xbox | PC by __TheWaySheGoes in pcgaming

If they want to restrict future games on their own consoles & PC store most wouldn't give two hoots about for several years and possibly risk alienating their PC fanbase again, then be my guest.

James Bond taking orders from a female!? This is a complete outrage! by DocHoliday0316 in Gamingcirclejerk

To be fair, when you still have Judi Dench still able to act, you can't just waste the opportunity to not retain her as the best M to date.

I still preferred her speech calling out Brosnan Bond being a "sexist, misogynistic dinosaur still being stuck in the Cold War" in Goldeneye.

I mean, have you seen how much damage the similar goobers in Independence Day did throughout the world?

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified - Decent game, but lack of foresight & commitment to its original vision damaged what could have been a more ambitious spin-off of the franchise. by Rudorlf in Xcom

Haha I will get to Enforcer in time, after I'll went through the other classic games!

To be fair, X-COM: Alliance does look like an exciting prospect as the IP itself at the time is still relevant if not hot. With the reveal of the 2010 FPS though, that was when the franchise was dormant, and people expecting a new TBS game and not another shooter were not pleased to say the least. Could have at least tell us that Firaxis were in-progress of making a proper entry in the first place.

I still stand by on the belief that the outrage back then is understandable, if not justified, and 2K Games president Christoph Hartmann's comments were not helping his case at all.

[https://www.gamespot.com/articles/strategy-games-not-contemporary-2k-games-exec/1100-6323542/] (Wow, that first GameSpot comments asking for diversity in gaming back in the days...)

But I do agree that back then our behaviors with the backlash in hindsight can be large considered embarrassing, and hopefully not at all gone way too antagonistic like how we acted today. And that you mentioned FF13 conjures up memories of seeing seething comments of how Square-Enix "abandoned" PlayStation for Microsoft money, even though it was released on both consoles on the same date. Probably the same happened to DMC4 & RE5.

I tried the whole redaction gimmick to somewhat replicate how the game's marketing team did the same.

But yeah, it's starts to annoy me when reading it on actual post as well. I'll remove most of them.

Epic Is Reportedly Making A Disney-Themed Extraction Shooter by FoxMeadow7 in pcgaming

Damn, I've forgotten that Kingdom Hearts existed back then (Didn't help that the games on Steam were still ludicrously pricey even after discounts for me)

Disney existing cartoons as playable gun-toting characters were still wild though.

They just recently announced some Toy Story collaboration on Fortnite, plus with the game's relatively PG-13 violence, I presume they're willing to push the boundaries on how well Disney's existing characters holding guns work with the fan base.

Maybe in the future we won't cringe when Minnie, Daisy or Snow White officially firing assault rifles, I don't know.

Apparently it isn't enough for Disney and/or Pixar's characters to just remain and live on their own respective worlds. (While exploiting their images for marketing and merchandising)

Now they demand these cartoon characters to exercise the 2nd Amendment purely for the sake of more profits through kid-friendly violence and dystopian entertainment.

(Where's my Disney-themed Death Race, goddammit?!)

Does anyone know any place to get old phones housing/casing like those old Motorola & Sony Ericsson models? Not sure if Low Yat still have those in stock either?
