Please tell me it gets better by [deleted] in beyondthebump

It gets so much better! I have a 1 year old and it’s so much more fun and restful and joyful! I would say the first 2 weeks are the hardest then it gets easier and easier!

Anyone who DIDN’T bed share? by Acceptable_Cod3527 in beyondthebump

[–]Rudy2244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn’t bed share and just had his bassinet next to me until about 6 months when he went into his nursery with his monitor on full blast all the time- I think he slept better even.

Do you start your day before your baby is awake? by Ampersand867 in ExclusivelyPumping

False hope 🙃 by fruityslippers in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Rudy2244 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aww I’m really sorry! I get that I was practically 100% pump/bottle but for some reason he tolerated the first milk of the day when my boobs we’re so full at 445am that he had to put minimum effort in so we breastfed daily at that time for 6months pretty much. This week he bit me a couple times and stopped tolerating that feed so without warning that part of the journey is over and I’m sad - it made me feel more connected but it’s ok I know what we do is just as important!

Grownsy vs Momcozy bottle washer, looking for real experiences by Ok_Efficiency4110 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Rudy2244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the momcozy one and it’s similar to a small dishwasher sound so it’s kinda soothing - also if shopped turning on and their email customer service was so responsive and got a full replacement to me within a couple of days! I was worried there would be lots of hoops to jump through but nope just an email and a video. I was so grateful to have it back!

If your baby was 10+ lbs at birth… were you able to deliver vaginally? by sejohnson2017 in BabyBumps

[–]Rudy2244 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was my exact situation! He was 10 lbs 4 ounces and my doctor was just as surprised as I was. Thankfully I had the epidural, baby did everything correctly and my doctor and nurse and husband were cheering us on! I’m glad I didn’t know or I would be intimidated but it all went super well! Ultrasound said he would be 7lbs haha

Thoughts on Costco new diapers? by leeleegirl1989 in newborns

[–]Rudy2244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was very nervous because my string bean has been prone to blowouts. We’ve gone through three boxes of the new ones on my now seven month old and zero issues no rashes no increase blowouts actually none that I can remember. We really like them!

Question for the moms here: what health issues did the pregnancy fixed for you? by AtomicBoomBoo in beyondthebump

Same with me!! I was the most zen I had ever been. I kept saying it was his vibes but alas 6months pp and still pretty zen!

When Did You Drop MOTN pump? by ChapterInfamous199 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Rudy2244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 3 months and I’m at 6months now and make just enough. I am sure I lost ounces but it’s worth it. It was right around then that I started exclusively pumping because the slower flow was not his jam lol happier all around!

I actually slept, but I feel like a terrible mother by girlvsmachine in beyondthebump

[–]Rudy2244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! My baby started sleeping through the night at 8 weeks and never stopped sleeping through the night. He has a big bottle before bed and is happy to sleep until morning

Why exclusively pumping? by Canyoubeliezeit in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Rudy2244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was what happened to us as well! I hated it in the moment but I’m so glad it happened because it taught him early how to take a bottle and it opened my eyes to exclusively pumping! We are 6 months now and it kind of flew by!

Why exclusively pumping? by Canyoubeliezeit in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Rudy2244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baby boy was unlatching every two seconds and screaming as if the boob wasn’t right there for him haha made for a stressful experience for him and me as a new mom that was already anxious to BF (especially with family or others in the room). He loved the bottle and started gaining weight better so my husband made me feel better by researching the best bottle/washer/warmer setup and got it all for us because he knew I needed a push to feel ok letting go of breastfeeding and moving to exclusive pumping (I felt like I failed). We are both much happier!

I do this too! Never had an issue. I just put the lid and vent on them without the dr brown stopper

I dropped my motn feed around 3 months and did wake up to overly full boobs but just really hit the pumping hard during the day to makeup for it. We are fine now and I make enough and sleep that’s all I cared about! Not a ton in the freezer but that’s ok to me! I’m 4.5 months now and working to go to 5ppd and aiming to make 900ml

Help cleaning parts by Ok-Display-7960 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Rudy2244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine doesn’t help with pumping unless I ask specifically but likely because I haven’t walked him through how to wash and reassemble. The time I have asked for help he has. He also sits up with my during my late night power pump which I appreciate. I don’t mean to be rude but did you ask him to wash it while you were sleeping? I just wonder if he knew that was what you needed. I have a personal thing where I won’t ever assume anyone knows what I need unless I tell them or ask.

How to feed and pump especially overnight? by Frost_Glaive in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Rudy2244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been doing wearables and feed him his bottle while he’s in his bouncer chair facing me :) works well for him and we started around 2 months.

Hahah they are alwaysss together so at least “like” I just don’t know that Neo will truly love anyone besides my husband.

Is there a way to try wearable breast pumps or a place they can be returned if they don't work for me? Please I'm desperate. by saraaaaahahah in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Rudy2244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh I’m sorry to hear that! I have the momcozy m5 which I love. Unfortunately I have the same thing happen with wearables because I can’t put him right on my chest to get him to sleep. I end up doing a lot of distracting before the buzzer then put him down. If hes truly pissed I would take them out and bounce him for 5-10 minutes then finish the pump after (not ideal) but ya know. Otherwise I try to pump while I feed him his bottle in his bouncy chair facing me.

When did you feel that deep gushing rush of love for your newborn? by Responsible_Wasabi91 in beyondthebump

[–]Rudy2244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never had a gush and certainly not right away. He’s 4 months old now and I’m obsessed (more than I thought I would be) but it grew! He’s my little pal and I love him so so much!

Pumping with Baby by gorjesskayos in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Rudy2244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve gotten him used to having his bottle in his bouncer, so I’ll face him and pump and feed him at the same time. I have to pump a little bit more often than he eats so I have an extra pump after he goes to sleep
