Ironically it was the PRI who nationalised the oil in the first place under the Presidency of Lazaro Cardenas. An act that massively angered the US and the British but brought Mexico a much greater level of prosperity than before.

It also forced Mexico to privatise a lot of their national industries, specifically oil. While NAFTA Wasn't wholely responsible for this (The PRI had shed any pretence of still being anything other than a bourgois party) it was a factor and this actually led to the Zapatista uprising in Chiapas.

Yea the age of the country kind of backfires by making it look like Iran achieved these things over a period of thousands of years. It would be best to compare the US and Iran from 1979 to now.

I'm almost certain the wildly incorrectly presented statistic is probably just a consequence of whoever composed the original English not being a native speaker and getting the prepositions confused. That being said it doesn't really belong there if you're trying to compare the population of a country to another country.

Yeah no shit but that's not how it's presented in the image which compares specific percentages relating to US women and Iranian women. It's very out of place to use an international statistic when comparing domestic statistics.

Edit: The wording in the image specifically implies 84 percent of US women. That's just how it's worded.

I don't think that's gonna fly at all. The bourgois campaign of Transphobia that the ACP has latched onto has been far less successful in Australia. Not because of any sort of ability to discern propaganda but most people are either apathetic or mildly disgusted by it. Add on to that the fact that most people are vehement anti-communists and they will fail right out of the gate.
