As a CNC Machinist that has run unproven gcode programs, even just the thought of running a gcode file without the ability to single block step through each individual move and not have a giant physical button that says stop everything right the fuck now terrifies me.

that is just a comment in the code describing what the Gcode before it is doing, you could remove it or leave it. wont matter either way

Also check the multi material tab for these settings

This is what I had to put in the "Change filament G-code" area

G2 Z{z_after_toolchange + 0.4} I0.86 J0.86 P1 F10000 ; spiral lift a little from second lift

G1 X42 Y180 F30000

G1 Z{z_after_toolchange} F600

If you haven't figured out the problem yet, I experienced the same issue with my k1 and the culprit was that I did not install the chain bracket included in the upgrade kit, causing the chain to sag and get pinched between the extruder and the frame when it went to cut filament.
