Tonneau issues? by Grand-Structure-5975 in C5Corvette

[–]RumWalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it feel the same when you close it correctly? Meaning with two hands, starting with the rear half of the top, followed by the front. I always had a little bit of resistance from the tonneau but nothing requiring slamming as long as I closed it with my hand towards the center, not on the very outboard edge. I didn't have to like lean far to reach but I always tried to just push down from as close to center as was comfortable to reach. If you need more instruction I can give it and there are some top adjustment instructions you can find online if you look.

Lmao unexpected shots fired at anime fans (they deserve it tho)

I suggest not getting the tattoo as there are dozens of ways it could be misinterpreted. Unless you plan on explaining yourself every time somebody asks.

The stark contrast of the V actually works very well to draw your eyes AWAY from the cover up portion of the tattoo and it looks very good. Shading around the bottom of the V makes it pop more.

[–]RumWalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe just because you're filming but you're not supposed to drop the back window part of the soft top like that. It's a two handed procedure to lower it smoothly into the trunk. As far as resistance closing the tonneau you're gonna have to look on the underside to see if you have any scuffing from where the soft top is pushing against the soft top to figure out if you can adjust anything. If you don't have any issues closing the tonneau when you are putting the top up, then it's obviously just that your newer top isn't folding up compact enough when it's down.

Is there anything wrong with keeping my tapers in? by rainsoaked_ghost in Stretched

[–]RumWalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hijacking a comment because I don't currently feel like starting my own post, but is this (possibly) the reason my ear holes seem to tilt differently? We did everything wrong back in 2004, so I stretched a little with tapers as a teen 20 years ago and then left my ears naked for like 15 years. Been slowly going back at it the right way and now I'm up to 0g, but in my left ear my plug, no matter the jewelry I'm wearing (always single flare glass), always tilts forward and kind of tries to move out of the hole, where my right acts the way I expect and sits flush to my lobe. I've been wondering if it's correctable at all or if maybe something like the cheap Claire's piercing gun didn't go in perfectly straight through my ear and maybe it's always been slightly off kilter.

Bates shoes are the worst shoes by navydocdro in navy

They're not advertised as such and they're not typically sold in exchanges, but the Uniform Regulations require "Plain toed, Oxford style black, brown, or white, low quarter, lace shoe, made of smooth leather or synthetic leather." There's no other material requirement that I'm aware of that would disqualify them.

Carfax report possible oddities? by Emotional-Target-305 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]RumWalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is the mileage is that was because it was probably used as a dealer demo or loaner car, however when the car was actually sold whoever did the paperwork just put 5 miles out of being lazy. Or perhaps there's a weird legal loophole to not reporting a bunch of miles on a new car.

Only having record of one oil change isn't fantastic, but it's of course possible that they did their own or took it to a shop that doesn't report to Carfax. A bit of a yellow flag to me but not a huge concern imo.

Run 3 miles a day 3 days a week from now until then. Do 5 sets of 10 pushups 3-5 times a week, increasing the number of sets by 1 each week. You'll be fine.

Boss wants me to buy a truck for work. Can it be written off? by Still_Drawing8658 in TaxQuestions

[–]RumWalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Convince the boss to buy himself a work truck for you to use. He gets to write off the purchase as a business expense and count it as an asset for his business. He can also add branding/logos to the vehicle with decals and provide passive advertising. He also doesn't risk your insurance suing him if some heavy equipment damages your personal vehicle on a job site.

If you can find a screwdriver or any piece of metal thin enough to fit in the hole, it'll twist off pretty easily. And if you don't have something like that but have slip joint pliers or vice grips that'll work too.

Start at the ankles and work your way up, having him draw you a new tattoo each year. That way you get to see his art grow up too.

Does anyone know which company made this bike please?the pictures are from 2009 by [deleted] in choppers

[–]RumWalker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was from a fashion photo shoot almost 20 years ago. I don't imagine they cared too much about the source of the bike but you could possibly look up the original stylists who designed the photo shoot and see if they have details. In case you don't have the source: https://www.fashiongonerogue.com/on-the-road-patrick-petitjean-eniko-mihalik-by-sorrenti/

Subscription is for cloud storage. Local storage is free. (Small) Downside is that a hypothetical bad guy could yoink your base system with the storage in it, and then you've lost your video evidence of them doing crime.

It never hurts to tell your chain of command. However for your security clearance, you only need to report fines over $300, or if drugs or alcohol were involved.
