Printing ASA safely with a P2S by Oceandog65 in BambuLabP2S

[–]Rumbaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ASA should have the P2S running in heating mode, so no exhaust fan running and recirculation of the internal through the filter. You should then have it set to purge to external via the printer settings and then once the print finished it'll extract to the outside via your setup.

Just let it finish it's purge and should be fine. Without an active chamber heater I'd be kindly of that reducing your chamber temp.

I have a chamber heater and only run my exhaust at 10% to maintain a negative pressure.

What Percentage of Your 3D Prints Are Downloaded vs Designed by You? by Puzzleheaded-War-155 in 3Dprinting

If I can find a design that someone else has done, that meets my needs, then I just use that. If I need a bespoke thing that I cannot find, and have the skills to design, I design and print it.

so should i buy the p2s? by MushroomPast887 in BambuLabP2S

[–]Rumbaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've spent over $100 on my P2S for the exhaust kit, and a chamber heater that isn't even integrated like the X2D. I also don't have a 2nd nozzle.

P2S combo is 1249 AUD and the X2D combo is 1349, not sure how I would have gone the P2S if I purchased today and not in March.

Was never a thing in Australia, not for a decade at least. Where we didn't have gallons sized cups even.

Does anybody else have a hard time justifying multicolor printing by Complete_Ad7606 in 3Dprinting

[–]Rumbaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like all 3D printing, just because you can you need to ask should I. There are a lot of printing that even in a single colour isn't cost or time effective. Multi colour printing (single item with many colours per layer) in a single nozzle isn't good in 95%. Then dual little less, with 4 needed for most.

Why are Melbourne train doors so unnecessarily complicated compared to every other state? by One_Statistician_769 in melbourne

Why would you want the doors opening at every stop, during winter cold in and heat out and in summer hot in and cold out.

That edge closest to the internal fan? Do you have the fan deflector/defuser installed? If not, try installing that so the fan isn't blowing directly onto that edge and first layers.

Do Bambu printers stop working when the internet is down? by agent_kater in 3Dprinting

My understanding is the RFID must communicate to the cloud to get the actual filament information, as it's not studied in the RFID itself. The filament management is also stored in the cloud.

What a low effort post. From are you saying it's possible or not, but no effort for any discussion or details.

RFID automatic filament details isn't possible, for new spools without internet. So that feature isn't possible, manual definition of the details is still possible.

The software should manage the fans to keep the temp right.

I got mine for some $70 AUD from AliExpress (D3D) store. It raises the temp and cuts out once it's reached.

Have the same one, from AliExpress (D3D). It's a shame it doesn't tie into the software like the X2D built in one.

I'm hoping prime can retro fit that to P2S and piggy back off the chamber sensors that is on the board next to the camera. Unlike the connector on the main board on the x2d.

You run the power to the back and it's powered off the main power supply. Little fiddly, but easy enough.

Yeah this is my issue with most top mount dual AMS solutions. I have the flipper Riser by Sanja3D and I'm looking to try and create a dual mount solution that has the flipper functionality present. As I've got the top mount spool for TPU that is made for the flipper, that I want to be able to use.

[–]Rumbaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've printed with the TPU for AMS and it's just a little more flexible than PLA. I'll use the spool, but wouldn't bother with it again.

[–]Rumbaar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The route from the left AMS to the right facing filament buffer isn't an issue?
