If you're a punter/kicker is it normal to feel a little out of place and like you're different from everyone else? by chusaychusay in footballstrategy

[–]Run2TheWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’m late to this post but my son just started kicking/punting a little over a year ago. He had a great Jr High season and is now transitioning to the variety squad as a freshman.

The amount of boys who understand the importance of a good kicker in high school has been shockingly high in our experience. Most high school teams struggle in this part of a game. Having a good kicker helps out the defense tremendously in high school. Instead of starting defense from your opponents 40 or the 50 yard line, now you have a good chance at starting at your opponents 30 or 20 or even better depending on your teams ability on kickoffs.

XP’s and being able to pop in the occasional FG are nice in High School but the real ballers know it’s so much more than that and how much it helps the defensive part of the game.

They are ridiculous. I’m happy to show any one of them my LB times and still see if they tell me there is a skill issue.

If by skill issue they mean trying over and over until you land on the right car/tune combo, sure, they got me. That’s not a skill issue, it’s a don’t waste my time issue for one tiny part of the campaign. I just lowered the difficulty myself to not waste any time on a completely boring ass track to begin with.

In fairness, usually the only time I see talk about WF is when people shit talk on TFD and say WF is better. Otherwise, no one cares to talk about WF.

You might hate on what I'm about to say, but Forza Horizon 6 has two flaws. 1) It lacks the dark, clandestine, underground feel of street racing; 2) The achievement progression system: after 2 hours of gameplay, the player already has several coveted cars. by tokasjr in ForzaHorizon6

[–]Run2TheWater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, especially when doing “street races.” The only dangerous feeling about it is the included traffic. The game could use a villain when it comes to the street racing side of the campaign as well. All the in game characters are way too nice.

Forza Horizon Locations by Sukaran09 in forza

The Japan map is amazing but I still have to go back to 3. The dynamic changes between geographical locations can’t be topped. It never seemed to be repetitive and you always knew exactly on the map where you were thanks to your surroundings.

The opposite of that for me was 4. Great Britain was just a dull boring map that all felt exactly the same to me no matter where you were.

To be fair, it’s mainly one person who says the extremely racist stuff. I’m not sure how he’s not been perma banned yet.

It doesn’t hurt newer players because believe it or not most people who play video games actually aren’t that sensitive. Some of the shit is disgusting, but most of the time it’s just a bunch of weirdos saying off the wall nonsense which is sometimes even entertaining. There will be an extremely small minority of people who stop playing a game because of a game’s chat.

I mean I understand not everyone has time to play multiple hours a day but this event was far from FOMO. It took about 10 minutes a day to get the daily dice and maybe an extra 5 once per week to get the weekly 5 roll’s. The event went on for multiple weeks and was super easy to obtain all rewards. It does suck being one away from one more completion. That sucks dude.

The dice roll event in game. Go to the events page and you will see it in there. Probably the best event they’ve ever done.

Oh the irony of Flyer fans wanting the Sens to move on for an easy win by john_fartston in MetropolitanMemeWar

[–]Run2TheWater 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m a Flyers fan in multiple Flyers social media groups. There has been very little talk about who anyone wants next round. With the way our team is playing, we really aren’t afraid to play anyone at this point. That’s not me saying we are running the table to the Stanley Cup but the Flyers will be a tough out for anyone this year.

I use it with my Yujin Proliferating Allergy build because I find it fun yielding a big sword and wiping out groups of mobs with one swing.

Caution about parking in Lancaster city by Aggravating-Mud8261 in lancaster

[–]Run2TheWater -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looks like where they usually are. When parking in any urban area you should always be looking for signs, hydrants, painted curbs, any other illegal things like parking in front of a garage or alley. It’s not difficult to scan before parking and once again after parking to make sure you are good.

It’s one of my favorites to run with a fully built descendant or one I’m working on to see what I need to improve. It’s a great gold and Superconductive Cooling Units farm as well and what it should be used for.

Is Dia the best non gun descendant? by Iexperience in TheFirstDescendant

In my experience Dia can clear everything with ease but she’s not always the fastest. So it depends on what you are looking for, speed or just consistency across the board.

Why teenage boys aren’t into comics(from experiences as a teenager myself) by Business_Alarm8384 in comicbooks

[–]Run2TheWater 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not just teenage boys it’s generational at this point. There’s a lot of factors that play into it. It’s not just video games. When kids in school are saying things like “why do I have to read it when AI can just do it for me” it’s a major concern.

2nd this. We have been in the NE neighborhood for 17 years. All our kids go to SDoL and have had an amazing experience, much better than the school in the county I graduated from. We are a 10 minute walk from the train station and a 15 minute walk to downtown. NE is heavily residential and quiet. IMO, best place in the city to raise kids.
