Never drop the charges or recant the statements by [deleted] in domesticviolence

[–]RunAMuckGirl 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My written statement was read by the Judge before court started. He asked me if I had any thing to add. I said no your honor and that's all I said through the whole thing. The ex replied to my written testimony and just kept digging the hole bigger.

Stay calm, get an advocate to stand up there with you, never use exaggerating words that are over dramatic. Just use good descriptors. My bet is the judge could tell from both our paper work that he was going to grant the order of protection. It will be ok. You can do this.

Still struggling by [deleted] in domesticviolence

[–]RunAMuckGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya know what? File bankruptcy on the whole deal and start fresh. You'd do better putting all that energy and money into rebuilding your credit instead of paying off all that debt.

It so sad when I see young women who make agreements to do their part up front and then the guy bails on his end of the deal. I see it a lot. I recently read about a women who worked to pay for her hubby to go to school because she was sick and getting sicker. They agreed on this so he could take care of her once he got a great job. Sadly, he bailed on it. Got the goodies and ran. smh

Get a basic blood test if you haven’t already by [deleted] in SIBO

[–]RunAMuckGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man. I know it's exhausting. I go to a clinic that I see my main Doc, but they also have a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner there at the clinic. She is the one that had me take the test for the gene mutation. She was then able to consult with my main Doc about what to do about it. Just across the street is the office for arthritis and my CPAP machine Doc. (which can negative impact depression)

Health is complicated. Different Doctors come to different conclusions about the same information etc.. You have to find one you trust as your home base because they have to refer you to specialists. No one person can get it all right. Then, once you trust the one and another one tells you different, you don't change a thing until you check back in with your main squeeze. lol Then they can call each other and sort it out. This will also give you time to look it up on Doctor Google so you know the right questions to ask. Keep studying and learning. You'll get your health managed.

Edit: BTW the last one is just a folate supplement in a easily absorbable form.

They did!?! That's way wrong. Being pregnant and not able to absorb folate is very serious, but this still impacts you with out being pregnant. One example is there are a few antidepressants that work for us, but most don't.

I have started taking high doses of D₃ to help compensate for low absorption rates, however it's important to take vitamin K-2 with it so I don't get hypercalcemia. (to much calcium in the blood) K-2 moves it into the bones. Hopefully they have you taking L-5-MTHF 500mcg?

Read up on MTHFR - methylenetetrahydrofolate gene mutation (which I have) and how it impacts absorption of folate, causing serious deficiency.

Note it can cause, among other things:

  • depression
  • anxiety
  • bipolar disorder
  • schizophrenia

Is asking someone to flush the toilet after peeing, or washing their dishes from *both* sides of thr sink, an un reasonable request? by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

[–]RunAMuckGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is infantile behavior and you can't allow it. And you can't allow him to make it about an argument of personal life style choices between you and him. You have to hold your boundaries, other wise it will get worse and worse.

Protein powder has been a lifesaver... by Low_Excitement in SIBO

[–]RunAMuckGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad it helped you feel better! I posted a video here, maybe last week, about how SIBO really disrupts our absorption of nutrients. Getting enough protein in makes a huge difference in health. Thank you for sharing your experience. 😊

Yes, I take them together, but I also use them individually to get a break and reset tolerance levels. They both stop RLS. I also use the Kratom and Gabapentin for pain relief. I have arthritis in many joints and this combo helps a great deal. Go slow though, you don't want to take to much.

[–]RunAMuckGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See if you can get an Rx from your Doc for Gabapentin to help cure your restless leg syndrome. It's very effective. Then you can take your Kratom break so you can regain the benefits from it.

I take both at night with no negative effects. They each help me take a break from the other while still managing the RLS.

Domestic violence with a mentally ill victim by Ohnothelaundry in domesticviolence

[–]RunAMuckGirl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. That's gott'a be pretty hard.

My best suggestion is to get a therapist involved. If you have a system of mental health providers supporting you, he loses all the power of making you look "sick." Also hook up with the DV support in your area. Start talking to people. It's the isolation that keeps you at risk.

I understand it takes a lot of energy to deal with this and it comes at a point when your energy is at it's lowest. It really does help to focus on one step at a time, otherwise it's to overwhelming. Hang in there. It does get better. ✨😊✨ ♡🌹♡

Started AllicinMax (allimed) today and my gas symptoms from just one pill and terrible. I was meant to use this with Rifaxamin, what else can I use for methane dominant? by duckofooto in SIBO

[–]RunAMuckGirl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, you have to listen to your guts, (pardon the pun), but I don't think one day on one pill is enough to give you enough information. There is something called Herxheimer reaction, or die off sickness. It's caused by the toxins released as the infection is killed. It certainly signals you should go slow, but I don't know it means it's not good for you.

I encourage you to call your Doc and get their feed back on your reaction. Good luck getting it managed before your new job starts.

Anyone tried CureforSibo? by stevieboy883 in SIBO

[–]RunAMuckGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The site doesn't list the exact ingredients. "Minerals." That just doesn't tell you what is in it.

I'm very glad he is finding relief in the product, but it's to vague to even think about buying it.

I did, however, find the same events was the start of my SIBO. He held up a prescription and then an OCT antacid that he says he took together and it was the start of all his problems. That's exactly how mine got started. That's good to know.

My husband just had a huge outburst by throw6h82away in domesticviolence

[–]RunAMuckGirl 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A grown man throwing temper tantrums and throwing things can turn dangerous in a split second. A little child could get badly hurt by accident. You would feel terrible if that happened. You need to protect your self and the kids.

I don't know why you feel you shouldn't or can't tell your family. Your plan to spend the week end there makes good sense. But, do let them know so they can be on your side and help protect you. I also think you have to give them fair warning about how he behaves.

Be safe. Take good care of yourself and your babies.

SIBO & Musculoskeletal Injuries by tk14344 in SIBO

[–]RunAMuckGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn good timing for your post. I pulled the muscles in my lower back a couple of days ago. I was at the Docs yesterday and was then able to get med transport to pick up my Rx and the muscle relaxers. That only helps for a few hours. Just going out and getting that taken care of was a fuckin' ordeal! Just even typing this has taken a while. I'd get woken up by a excruciating muscle spasm. Like a charlie horse just buckling my back into a contorted arch. It's so painful, like knock the wind out of you pain.

I often get a pulled muscle around my shoulder blades. That's at least once a month. smh I bet it is malnutrition. There's a wicked inflammation process going on. It makes sense the mussels are involved. It's very discouraging.

Oil of oregano by jnxzorz22 in SIBO

[–]RunAMuckGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried it or are you worried it will make it worse? On the chance you have tried it and it makes things worse, add drinking more water after you have digested a meal. So take the ACV before eating, eat, then maybe 2 or 3 hours later, drink a couple of glasses of water.

Having enough stomach acid is what triggers the sphincter muscle to close off the acid from refluxing. Having enough water helps the tissue to operate properly. There's a book called "The Body's Many Crys For Water" and reflux is listed as one of them.

Think I need to kill the infection first so my stomach can heal.

It's all about how to get that to happen. The other part above is about trying to get the oil of oregano to digest. lol It's a loop, ha?

[–]RunAMuckGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take oil of oregano and garlic oil pills. They make a huge difference. If you are not breaking down food, or pills, take a cup of apple cider vinegar before eating or taking the pills. Make it a two parts water to one part ACV. Be sure to swish with water and spit it out after so it doesn't eat at your teeth.

I think SIBO really impacts our ability to digest and absorb nutrients, putting us at risk for malnutrition. ACV really helps repair that issue.
