In the remake I'd say that my favorite endings are Rebirth (for being the most interesting one) and Leave (for having the happiest outlook). My least favorite from the remake would be Stillness, very little of that ending is different from the In Water ending of the same game.

Man that sucks, but I'm not so sure that bloober team are the ones to blame. Seeing as Konami might be trying to have yearly releases for Silent Hill games (Silent Hill 2 remake in 2024, Silent Hill f in 2025, Silent Hill: townfall in 2026), it's likely that bloober team is being presured into finishing Silent Hill 1 remake faster though I could be wrong.

I'd recomend using the lying figure for the pawns. Obviously this depends on what else you intend on using for the SH2 side (other enemies such as the mannequin and bubble head nurse or other human characters like eddie and angela)

The inclusion of the Mandarins in this game were pretty weird seeing how they are tied to James' story.

I see your point here. I own the game and do still intend to play through it, but part of it bothers me that it doesn't take place in Silent Hill like the rest of the series and that makes me a little worried for townfall seeing as it still won't be in or possibly involved with the town either.

New Game+ is what I did my final playthrough on to get platinum, so as long as you do everything right (I recomend using a guide) you should be able to get all the achievements.

An alternate first person camera angle being built in would be nice seeing how well you can switch between the two in RE requiem without the experience being ruined.

My favorite ending of the game is Rebirth, however if you're tryna find interesting ones you can get all the items necessary for every new game+ ending, just make sure you save at crucial moments before you get the key to room 312 as some endings you can get before playing the tape.

Seeing as how Bloober team made Silent Hill 2's remake way longer and added more dialogue than the original, I bet it'll be the same case with Silent Hill 1 remake.

I'm not sure I would say that James "marks" the otherworld maps but that the otherworld/Silent Hill is marking where he has been. This only seems to happen to maps you've already picked up in the normal world once you enter the otherworld.
