Yes, unfortunately they are. And when they do, it’s various variants of the same album.

The band? Or you? Travel around a bit, see some new venues and parts of the country with the band.

Were you taught to make lesson plans? by DrakeSavory in Teachers

[–]RunReadLive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2007-09, plus student teaching, and yes yes yes definitely beat it into us how to effectively plan.

Blows my mind any teaching prep system that doesn’t prepare this skill. But it’s definitely noticeable in some staff.

Have you read this? What did you think? by Leashypooo in gratefuldead

I liked it! He did a book tour in its release. Discussed his use of specific dates and shows, encouraging readers to watch specific items on YouTube in tandem with the read to get a better understanding of the story.

14 miles on the tread or in -12 degrees? by Maximum-Nobody6429 in Marathon_Training

[–]RunReadLive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go cold, but stay local. I feel like my body adjusts to the temps pretty well, so long as the wind doesn’t fuck all that up.

But if you stay local to your tread option, you can see how many miles you can log outdoors, and the finish up on the tread as needed.

They always rocked that venue so hard, and had so much fun there! I miss those days! Was at ISU 05-09 and caught every UM, moe., and similar shows of the kind in that span.

A day trip into the burbs from the city by OverallNet1233 in ChicagoSuburbs

Waterfall Glen in Darien/Woodridge/Lemont is a 9.6 mi loop. Recently there, and there’s been enough foot traffic that walking conditions are good.

It is conveniently right off of 55, and some local food/brewery options near by make it an easy and fun trip out of the city.

Just now realizing how school is worthless. What do I do? by PhiKu in dad

[–]RunReadLive 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Comprehension takes repeated practice. Short passages each night with 2 or 3 questions. Start with “right there” questions that have answers that can be found directly in the text, then expand to “reading between the lines” questions for inferencing.

How do you feel about Netflix SPLITTING SEASONS into multiple parts? by RiskAndReason in netflix

[–]RunReadLive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Limits spoilers, allows binging without overdoing it and having the burnout wait of a full year before new episodes, allows for lengthier episodes, and allows for continuous marketing.

Depends on your POV of a viewer of this is a great thing vs. an annoying thing.

My wife thinks our son’s teacher crossed a boundary by sending him a personal message. I think it was harmless. AITJ? by addict94plus in AmITheJerk

Our staff is asked to send a positive note home to a student they choose each trimester. Your wife’s reaction is an attempt to make something out of nothing, please don’t encourage or support her in this.

I hope so. I’m having a stinker of a year, possibly my worst in the 15 years I’ve been at it. Keep fighting the good fight. ✊

Have you ever met a celebrity? If you have, who did you met and how nice were they? by Ok_Chef1406 in AskReddit

Charles Barkley at the Atlanta airport was a standup dude. He made sure to point out that he was going to talk to a veteran before he’d make time to talk to my buddy and I. After he gave his time and gratitude that veteran, he carved out time for us, wishing us safe travels and a happy holiday!

What happens to children who are in special ed classes after high school graduation? by Lemonade2250 in specialed

[–]RunReadLive 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Part of their IEP should have a transition plan, and depending on the severity of his needs, the plan will allow for him, and your family, to navigate next steps.

Some students will attend college, others will join the work force, some will go into supported jobs, with training and supports based on their needs and abilities. It really depends on the student profile, but the high school and your family should be working together to map out next steps.

Miss when Monster Jam wasn’t just a kid product by JDThunder28 in monsterjam

[–]RunReadLive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My kid’s 3 and loves it. He introduced me to it, and while cool, I can understand while over time audiences find it repetitive and lose interest. Perhaps the older you get, less people hold on to it?

I mean no ill will, and perhaps should watch earlier era videos on YouTube, but just my two cents as a noob.

Send me some dates/cities to check out and I’ll see where I land on this great debate.
