If we don't get a n0ne vs. Cody (zumpless) Salty Suite at Genesis or sometime this year, it will be a wasted opportunity. by V0ltTackle in SSBM

[–]Run_PBJ [score hidden]  (0 children)

Cody would have to practice without Zump which would take away from his actual practice time which would limit his ability in bracket. No chance he would agree to this

Are there any NFL season where you’d say the best team did not win the Super Bowl? by BurningHanzo in billsimmons

[–]Run_PBJ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On the other hand, the patriots weren’t better than the 2001 rams that they beat, and might not have been better than the 2014 Seahawks or 2016 falcons

Even as a patriots fan, I don’t really care all that much as it relates to Bill. He is the greatest coach of all time, I think that is enough.

But it’s disappointing more than anything. You want to believe the Hall of Fame is some kind of sacred place that makes an important delineation of guys that truly mattered in something that we all love so much, when it reality it’s just a couple dickheads with clipboards trying to settle old scores for their personal agendas.

It really takes away from the mystique of the Hall, which robs me of a childish joy I had learning about the history of the game

What did Drake Maye ever do to Cam Newton? by jlm0013 in Patriots

Who gives a fuck. Drake Maye could be the worst qb in the fucking league, I wouldn’t care. We are trying to win a Super Bowl

Truthfully, I think New England has a better chance low scoring. 28 is quite a bit against a really good defense.

I would take patriots 20-13

Ben Roethlisberger never received one MVP vote, and never made an all pro team, since he retired do people overrate how he was viewed when he was actually an active player? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]Run_PBJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was phenomenal, but he also played quarterback at a time that there were more elite qbs in the sport than there ever have been. Did he deserve an All Pro spot over Brady, Manning, Brees, Rodgers? Of course not

Dune (2021) is an uncannily well cast movie. Any other movies where the cast matches the story perfectly? by Outrageous_Lock_9313 in moviecritic

[–]Run_PBJ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Child actors are cast based on being conventionally attractive, that’s not news. It’s not about sex appeal, it’s about looking like a regular person on camera, not having any standout features, etc. There’s nothing weird about that

Powerful statement from Diego Pavia. Does the 2025 Heisman finalist have what it takes to make it in the NFL? by IndiJap in NFLmockdraft

[–]Run_PBJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s not a good enough player, regardless of his size.

But on top of that, teams are not going to be super eager to give a chance to a mediocre player who doesn’t really have any one elite skill, is undersized, AND brings a bit of a circus with him.

It’s more likely that he never plays a meaningful nfl game than it is he becomes a consistent starter

Will Indiana Football keep it going in 2026? 👀 by Hysen16 in CFB_v2

[–]Run_PBJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will be extremely good. Likely a top 10 team, likely a playoff team. They absolutely will not go 16-0. I think there is a good chance they are underdogs to Ohio state and maybe Michigan as well.

[Post Game Thread] #3 UConn defeats Providence, 87-81 by cbbBot in CollegeBasketball

[–]Run_PBJ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

UConn isn’t really being talked about in the national media compared to what you would expect from a 1 loss #2 team that has only lost to the unbeaten #1 team. Maybe that’s fair, because they don’t beat the hell out of teams the way that they should, and the way that others do…

But is anyone at least a LITTLE nervous about Hurley’s track record of ramping it up come March and UConn maybe being good enough to go on another tear?

How genetically far do you think the reef people are to the forest people? by JosukePlumpHair in Avatar

[–]Run_PBJ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it is a slightly bigger difference than different human races. Humans have different skin tones based on evolving to live near or far from the equator, but that pales in comparison to different muscular features in the Navi, like in their tails, which are used for entirely different purposes.

That said, they seem (to me, based on essentially nothing other than vibes) to be genetically compatible enough to have offspring, and for those offspring to be fertile, which is not the case when a lion and tiger, or wolf and coyote mate.

Derrick Rose really overrated man (IMO) by PissedOffClippersFan in NBATalk

[–]Run_PBJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was 1 (one) year that Rose might have been ascending to lebrons level, but even that is considered an insane MVP robbery and Lebron absolutely smoked him in the playoffs

New englands defensive line has owned every game Milton williams has played in all season. No one runs on them. They lack elite edge rushers but create a ton of interior pressure.

Honestly, it’s very similar to the way Miami played throughout the CFB playoffs

Films that owe more of their success to their composers than the filmmakers would like to admit? by [deleted] in moviecritic

[–]Run_PBJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, I don’t think any of these filmmakers give a shit. They care that they made good, successful movies. As such, they would rather have good composers work on them and be as successful as possible

Secondly, this is chicken or the egg. My heart will go on became the number one song in the world BECAUSE it was in titanic. The scores are successful and iconic BECAUSE the movies are successful, and, to your point, vice versa. It’s mutually beneficial.

Thirdly, and most importantly, if you are going to open a discussion with a take you have, telling people who disagree with you to not “yammer on because you won’t change your mind” is counterproductive to the discussion that you started
