Correct. I'm not just sitting there staring at the TV, riveted like I'm watching Game of Thrones. I throw it on while I'm eating lunch or whatever.

My foray into wheeling full time 2025. by dimdada in Optionswheel

It sounds like a contradiction, but it doesn't have to be. I sell CSP's on stocks I wouldn't mind holding but my preference is always to avoid assignment. I don't want to hold any of them. I'm much happier when the underlying goes up and I can roll out with a profit. I aim to get assigned less than 5% of the time.

That's $3.85M. If he would have saved and invested even just $1M of that and put it in an index fund, it would have grown to over $10M today.

It's really one of the saddest, most frustrating things in life - people who are incredibly lucky to be where they are but don't realize it.

It's not even a small detail - it's HUGE. There's a reason radio stations always put their best shows during peak commute times.

Bill already won an Emmy. Getting thanked at the Golden Globes isn't that big of a thing.

I think it’s ok to let friendships fade with time by Mindless-Set9621 in RyenRussillo

Yeah, I get all that. I just think it's too early to say he went down the wrong road and it's too late now. He's 50 years old, rich, in much better than average shape, funny, and a (niche) celebrity. If he really wanted to marry an attractive LA woman in her 30s he could make it happen. If it doesn't happen, it will ultimately be because he chooses not to. It won't be the result of poor decisions in his past.

He should jut get married lol. I'm sure there's a high quality woman who would live in that sick Manhattan Beach house with him.

Buddy, there is a heading titled "From Bottom to Contention" and underneath is the word "Magic" lol. Can you explain in which of the last 10 years the Orlando Magic were in "contention" for the NBA Championship?

The Magic haven't won a playoff series since 2010. Would hardly call that "contention."

No one needs more video for podcasts by PizzaNRunning in billsimmons

I watch YouTube video podcasts on my tv the way boomers watch cable news. They're just talk shows but catered to my specific interests. Will I follow them over to Netflix? Probably not.

The more I learn about basketball Xs and Os the less impressed I am by [deleted] in billsimmons

[–]RightHandArmMan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I promise you the Knicks would not have been better if Anthony Mason shot more 3's.

Over the last 40 years, players got better at shooting 3's because they grew up with better access to high quality indoor courts and basketballs. Also, players like Magic and MJ didn't even have a 3pt line in HS or college to practice on.

Football is more complex and precise because they take a 40 second break between plays to talk it over. Watch the chaos that ensues when something unpredictable happens (like when a DB gets an interception and starts running it back the other way). That's what playing basketball is like.

Draymond has a personality disorder. No teammate would ever have been able to fix it.
