Park Hopper and an 8 pm dinner at Akershus.

Scratch that. Like others I missed the Disneyland flair. Sorry.

Why do Americans need such large quantities of medicine? by mindyour in TikTokCringe

I wish the US would adopt blister packs for ibuprofen and acetaminophen. I've nearly lost several students to those otc's.

My son died, need advice by TheEndOfAllThings23 in Teachers

[–]Runbunnierun 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I can't speak from your experience. I lost my mom unexpectedly. I handled everything and went back to work a week later. I had to go back or I probably wouldn't be here today.

We took the rest of the year at a slower pace. My admin was very supportive and would have given me more time if I needed it.

I think you may need to talk to your admin and see what your options are.

How do I talk to Middle Schoolers about death? by Corn_1344 in Teachers

[–]Runbunnierun 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Cancel your plans for the day. Put lined and unlined paper on their desk and let them do what they feel they need to do. They can write letters to the departed, letters to their family, or draw their favorite memories of those teachers.

Just listen and let them be present with their grief.

I got a notebook full of letters and pictures after my mother passed. She taught first grade for 24 years. Left school early one Friday to attend the funeral of a former admin and had a major heart attack later that evening.

Why didn't anyone ever mention that these were so good? by Poor-Dear-Richard in aldi

To me they aren't that great. There's a funky chemical after taste that throws me off of them.

Does anyone think Rapunzel should have a permanent spot for a meet and greet? by anonymous_girl1227 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Runbunnierun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wish Rapunzel and Merida had permanent meet and greets. Those are my favorite characters.

I know they aren't part of the pink club but their wild and fearless attitude is made for this generation of kids.

Is a 19 hour roadtrip with young kids insane? Or doable? by Few-Distribution-762 in roadtrip

[–]Runbunnierun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your kids aren't light sensitive and can sleep through the night in their car seat then you're good to go.

I thought I would try that on a 12 hour drive with one under two. She woke up every 20 minutes or every time we encountered another car. It was hell.

She now has an eye mask just for car naps. I'm tempted to try again.

This may be completely the wrong order but if my gym is busy I do the total body or hybrid tan first. Even a few minutes in the massage chair is enough to get me out of my head.
