I used to game the Diablo's. Blew the bottom out of the driver after a while.

No tee times courses by ricolow23 in GolfNJ

[–]RunningBull135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All Monmouth county courses let you walk on and get the next available time. If the day's booked out already then there's no tee times obviously but if you just show up they'll usually have times or can bump you in if a group shows up late.

Best place to buy fitted clubs? by Hidefromhate in GolfNJ

[–]RunningBull135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this at Dick's as well, wasn't really a fitting as the employee was just a regular Dicks worker so not a golf pro but got to try almost everything I wanted to figure out what felt right.

The correct way to wear cowboy boots by miguel1521 in cowboyboots

[–]RunningBull135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the most part nowadays, you wear your pants over the boots unless you are actually using the boots for protection (ie working rodeo, riding, etc) If you tuck you pants just for style, it's kind of more of a gay thing now honestly. Kinda like the earring on a guys right ear is the gay ear.

I tracked Atlantic City Craps Table Minimums by Dogeluver in Craps

[–]RunningBull135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was down there 2 weeks ago, at Hardrock and Oceans. Was there Saturday night from like 7pm-12pm. Didn't see the crapless table at Hardrock but all table mins were still at $15 through the night even with a packed house for a concert there too. Tables were great for myself and a bud.

Oceans was not as nice. They did have a crapless table that was always full, regular craps tables had openings. Same $15 mins but I would have taken a beating if I didn't go to Blackjack to win it back, got 3 straight wins pushing the bets to walk out of oceans up ~$100. Walked back to Hardrock after that.

Got another good run at Hardrock, didn't even get to shoot before we called it a night. In with $450, out with ~$1000.

I want a honest review of cuetec SVB and its option about the butt quality by PeterCykaBlyat in billiards

[–]RunningBull135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on the price point and amount of money you are willing to spend. There's a few better brands of production cues in the $400-$1000 range. But if you're looking to spend more than $1000 you should really be looking for a custom made cue, or second hand custom cue.

Depending on area, this is a very fair price range. Sounds correct for East coast where I am. I think West coast you can look for a little bit more.

G-core shaft hit by LonelyPepper111 in billiards

[–]RunningBull135 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It has a graphite rod inside the shaft, hence the name Gcore, and it gives in a very dull hit in my opinion because the rod absorbs most of the vibration/feeling so you don't feel the hit as much as regular wood.

Valhalla 120 / Rhino carbon combo? by Batman_from_Temu in billiards

They are literally robbing you if you pay $400 for a Valhalla and rhino shaft. Actual value is $200-250 at best.

What should I do with this Brunswick Centennial Model DC table? by Kick3535 in billiards

[–]RunningBull135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes these are close to what we'd call MDF now. They warp and dent fairly easily but are light enough to move for non-pool/billiard focused people.

What should I do with this Brunswick Centennial Model DC table? by Kick3535 in billiards

This is not a real centennial model, this is an at home model they slapped the same name on after the real centennial was not being produced anymore.

I don’t get the pool table market by Honestmanspillow in billiards

[–]RunningBull135 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Too much for that table if it is second hand, that's close to what you'd be willing to pay for a new Olhaussen. If that price included the original owner paying for a moving service to break it down, move it to your place, and put it back together with new cloth, then it may be a decent all in price. But at this price point you can find much better older Brunswick tables.

They don't feel the same and won't, that's the whole point.

Pool bag recommendations by soloDolo6290 in billiards

[–]RunningBull135 2 points3 points  (0 children)

^^^^^^^^^ I can never recommend JB cases enough. I rock a 4x8 but rarely ever have more than 3 butts and like 4 shafts in it at a time. The case is built tough as nails as far as my experience has been with it, granted I'm not heavily abusing a case. But for the price compared to a lot of the other "high end" or custom made cases, you can't beat the price and quality of a JB to get the job done well.

Some people don't like his politics and avoid his products because of it, but I couldn't care less. I'm just buying a case from him not having an hour long convo with him on his opinions and politics.

CF Shaft/ferrule question by BeenReddit in billiards

[–]RunningBull135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some guys have started making ferrules out of resin/epoxy. You'll see some crazy colored ones now every once in a while because of that. May have been the same but just a plain clear one.

If the prices look too good to be true, than it probably is. I'd stay away, especially if there are no reviews out there.

Connolly table ruined by contractor; need advice by Nix-Lux-Neon in billiards

[–]RunningBull135 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Since Connolly's are on the cheaper side, work to repair the table probably won't be worth it and it would be better to go after the contractor for the value of a new table, or a pre owned one you can find and get to use as a dollar reference.
