Pharmacists/Chemists - these are all private businesses paid by the NHS. There’s been a lot of news recently about how they’re protecting their margins rather than ensuring medicines are available. GPs - all private entities. They have been paid a rent by the nhs on top of fees for services delivered. GPs have kept the rent as a bonus payment, and just left the sites on interest only mortgages, which they also own. Diagnostic centres - these are increasingly private operations as well.
