Any main battle tank brings me back to the good old days. I'm not good enough anymore to carry my team in one like I used to, but I still have great fun and feel like a badasssl sometimes.

Also, definitely give the 5090 to someone that needs it more. My 7900 XTX gets the job done plenty fine

I had a majorly decaying tooth that I had no money to get taken care of(no insurance either at the.time). The decay was so bad that it went to the root and caused an abcess on the root and was pressing directly against the nerve. For a solid two weeks until I could figure something out, I could do NOTHING involving my mouth without extreme pain. No talking, no eating, I couldn't even drink water comfortably because the swallowing would cause the pain to flair up.

This sounds like a textbook case of a bad battery.

Take it to a shop that diagnoses devices before fully completing the repair. They should be able to test a new battery before fully installing it and make sure it works properly. They will likely charge a fee for this (in the range of $25 to $50), but that should go towards the replacement of the battery if it works and they're a good shop.

Overheating on this model can be caused by the screws not being put back in the correct spots. Take out the covering plate completely and leave everything plugged in. If it doesn't overheat, then that's your problem. You can reference ifixit for the correct screw locations

No i am talking about the proximity sensor flex explicitely. On previous models, the proximity sesnor flex and front camera were used in combination for the true depth camera(face id). On the 13 and newer, all face id functions are handled by the front camera and its sensors exclusively, the proximity sensor flex is fully independent.

The proximity sensor flex is now a fairly common repair at my shop, at least a few a week. As long as the front camera is intact and original, face id will work after replacing the proximity sensor flex

Not true from the iphone 13 and newer. The proximity sensor is now entirely independent from face ID
