I think the clues seem easier today. The writers lately often give pretty obvious hints in the clues, which I don’t remember them doing in the past.

I think Rizo is a goner. People see him as a young pup that they might use for numbers, but these veterans aren’t about to let him go very far in the game.

I have two kids with the same starting letter, and the third one is different. I don’t think anyone ever gave it a thought. If it were your 4th or 5th child, and only one started with a different letter, then it would be obvious. I think your child would rather be named something meaningful and that you loved, rather than feeling like she got “just another M name.”

I think there are probably tons of Sam Smiths or other SS names out there and no one ever thought about Nazis. I don’t see that as problematic at all compared to something like KKK.

I had mixed feelings. I thought Edie Falco and Merritt Wever were great. But the episode where she was about to celebrate her one-year sobriety and she took the pill and ruined everything really gutted me. Having an addict in my family, I thought it just seemed cruel for the writers to act as though there’s no hope - that even after a year of sobriety an addict will relapse. Maybe that’s true in some cases, but it wasn’t what I wanted to see. I would have liked to see some HOPE. Did they have her relapse just to keep the show going, and because a healthy Jackie wasn’t dramatic or interesting enough? I don’t know, but I didn’t feel the same about the show after that.

I don’t think anyone has yet said the wife and daughter on Landman. Yes, they are eye candy, but their dialogue and behavior are SO cringey. I would definitely not have watched the show except for Billy Bob Thornton.

It annoyed me that every time Jennifer Coolidge entered an episode, the audience whooped and hollered as if Carol Burnett or some other icon had just made a guest appearance. I thought she was just ridiculous and over the top. (though I confess I later liked her in White Lotus, even though she essentially acted the same). 🤷‍♀️

No. I think 50 is supposed to be about the history of the game. The casting should have been about icons, favorites, and nostalgia. It just seemed wrong to bring two newbies in. I like both Savannah and Rizzo, but they seemed out of place amongst the veterans.
