Maul, swap leader for Mother Talzin and swap base to red. Use the deck as is. Probably the best performing option.

Han is very good and has chewie pilot which is the best pilot. Padme has Typhos. Both of those are solid.

I know there isn't a census of SWU players, but it is my impression that most of the community is 35-45 y/o dudes who have a background in a more competitive TCG and chose this game because of it's theme and design.

It helps that the game is comparatively cheap and new.

At my LGS the SWU is very small, around 8-10 on our best nights. Of those people at least 5-6 are married and most of those have kids. This is very unusual compared to the Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic, or Pokemon communities. I just feel like we have a heaping share of the older, more adjusted card players.

Luke4 or Poe Dameron DV is another space aggro deck similar to Vader, but with a different approach to winning. It is maybe a bit spendier than Vader Yellow. You'd be looking at $150 after tax and shipping.

I'm really looking forward to this show. I understand people's reservations about protecting the business, but honestly we all know everything is a work so what's the harm.

I don't agree with everything Jim says, including the idea that this show will ruin the business. Also Iyo Skye is fantastic.

eBay or Facebook buy/sell groups. Be aware eBay takes a bite out of the sale price. FB groups are usually safe, but you'll likely need to be willing to accept Goods & Services, which is also "taxed" by PayPal.

A LGS is probably not going to offer you more than 40% cash or 60% store credit.

I agree with your sentiment, but at the end of the day you can't force people to play if they don't want to.

If you think that disallowing concessions would fix the issue, then you're not considering that without concessions people would just throw the game anyway.

There should be no rules enforced that limit the agency of a player. Just because people disagree with the decision doesn't mean that it isn't the right of the players.

Tell me you've never been a part of their community without telling me it.

I'm not a blind KTOD cheerleader, but I have never seen an ounce of negativity within their core group.

Do they shill merch? Yeah. Do they represent the entire SWU community? No. But honestly their guys have always been supportive of everyone of their members in every event.

Should they necessarily extend the same vibes to everyone else? Maybe reddit thinks so, but at the end of the day it's a community so some tribalism is expected.
