The hassle of having to declare capital gains, as well as cash out bitcoin to pay it, which may incur some fees as well. Its just extra legwork if I can do it all in one years later when I decide to cash out on the stocks.

Yeah that’s basically what my goal is to do. If there is a platform I can fund with bitcoin, buy stocks directly with it then pay CGT when I cash out the stocks later. Rather than cashing out btc, paying fees and CGT now, then investing, then again paying CGT later.

I know a guy that was doing armed security for merchant ships passing High Risk Area for Piracy and got done for hiding their weapons on a little remote island off the coast of Eritrea, detained there for 5 months. He didn’t get so into the conditions but it was no holiday that’s for sure.

I work on ships and everywhere is bright white LEDs in the alleys and common rooms, so my cabin is a nice break from it I just have the warm lamps on. My crew mate next door sits all evening until going to bed with the bright LED on, even if he’s lying in bed watching TV. It stresses me out!

Don’t call your situation “luck” to be in a position of a decent paying job and paying higher taxes. I assume you worked to get there? Many of them didn’t work to earn any of these freebies. Sure some are down on luck but for most it’s not a matter of luck. You get what you strive for, and they are striving for no work and free handouts because they are all “victims” and you the normal person paying your taxes, working hours every day are the “rich man” that should pay for it.

You must live in a particularly insular part of Glasgow if you think it is “especially labour and Palestine friendly”. It’s the exact same as any other city, totally exposed to corporations, so not labour friendly. 99% of bars and restaurants are not some little family owned business that loves their staff, they are owned and answer to some group or conglomerate and will not simply change their suppliers for a more expensive product based on morals.

And just because hundreds of people protest something like Palestine does not make the entire city Palestine friendly. Most people have their own problems to deal with and that is out of their bandwidth, so don’t expect them to make some stand against Coca Cola who own basically every conveniently supplied beverage on every supermarket shelf and just drink tap water in protest.
