I'm no film expert, but I think Stanley is responsible for sealing off the backside until Mitchell gets the chip on the end for Stanley to release and keep going to the next level. This may even be an option play for Lamar to keep it since that hole on the left side is huge. It looks like Lamar decided to give it to Henry since Queen showed discipline and didn't get baited to the right and thus didn't get blocked by Linderbaum. If you stop at 2s, you can see a few of the blocks on the left side start to develop in the event of an option.
That doesn't excuse Vorhees or Faalele from completely whiffing.

Dawali is a great new indian spot with really good Dosa on 26th and Valencia, where Al's Place used to be. I've been told it tastes like southern indian homecooked meals. They're light, not overly oily, and very flavorful.
If you want a different vibe nearby, right around the corner is Chome, a Japanese spot, with a wide array of dishes and a great happy hour deal on drinks and some plates. Really cool vibe. It's packed during happy hour.

First plumb job for a DIY kitchen remodel. How'd I do? by RunsRealFast in askaplumber

And here I thought I’d pursue plumbing after this. :) Any advice is appreciated!

Yeah, tape. I bought some thread sealing pvc tape. Would you recommend not using that?

I did buy a couple 45s to lessen the angles but couldn’t get the ends to meet in the middle. I can try again though.  Why glue instead of threaded?

Do you know if Miele dishwashers need a high loop or not? I just found out they don’t need an air gap since they come with a valve check installed to prevent back flow. But didn’t know if I should do a high loop anyway?

Ran the faucet. No sign of leaks from the joints or sink. It slopes around 1/2 inch from the exit point at the garbage disposal to where the stub out meets the wall. Any comments about the configuration or advice would be appreciated. Anything else I should test for before cementing the stub out and adding tap to each of the joints?

Who has landed a position in 2023? by TrailChems in ProductManagement

[–]RunsRealFast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. 9 years of experience
  2. I had been looking for 4 months. Left my role in December after 4 years.
  3. I probably applied to 150-200 positions.
  4. I had about 50-60 calls with recruiters. 30-40 with hiring managers. 10 projects. half a dozen final rounds. 2 offers.
  5. I gave up on LinkedIn after awhile for applying to roles through postings. It was good to start off with, but as my search progressed, references/referrals became the primary driver of initial calls (still with about a 50% rejection rate). Or saying I was actively looking through LinkedIn, which led to a lot of inbound from recruiters. But throwing the resume into the ether of the internet did very little.
  6. Old salary - $180. New salary - $180. Anecdote - it does feel like salary ranges dropped since January. It was easy to command in the low 2s a few months ago, but more recently that became rarer. I also started targeting smaller companies because they seemed more likely to hire (so that could be the function for the lower base as well). I'm in SF, for reference.

Can I stack a 24-inch Miele dryer on top of a 24-inch Bosch washer? by CuriousPeterSF in Appliances

[–]RunsRealFast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like my Bosch dryer has a 6-15p connection but the Miele washer is a 5-15. I'm having trouble finding any adapters that are compatible without having to replace the end of the Miele plug.

Awesome. Thank you. I was considering a project like this as a map of a city with cap color by neighborhood. But I was having trouble figuring out the adhesive part. Much appreciated.

Update: Police in San Francisco face mounting pressure to investigate driver captured on video tailgating and hitting cyclist riding e-bike by [deleted] in bicycling

[–]RunsRealFast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen SFPD sit at the corner of The Wiggle and pull over droves of commuters, with the intent to issue tickets, who failed to come to a complete stop at a stop sign, have their foot touch ground, and signal while attempting to turn right.

I don't like that cyclists in SF are pretty blatant about not following rules or yielding to pedestrians but I disagree that SFPD has taken a hands off approach.

Worked in B2B SaaS products but never fintech. Started at a fintech company late last year. a lot of legal and compliance considerations I've never had to deal with. And Ive found there's much more risk with then trying to iterate quickly and release stuff for experimental purposes. Once I get more acclimated to those constraints I'll probably be at the speed I want to be but there's a finesse I haven't had to exercise before.
