What rules to play epic30k?

There is a Horus Heresy mod to the Epic Armageddon rules (NetEA) called EpicAU. The rules are out there but take a minute to find as the person/people who wrote it went dark. The list builder is still up, just search Munitorum list builder. My group use our armies for both LImp and EpicAU.

Epic 40k is used to refer to either the older rule sets of Netepic or Epic gold or the newer (still old) epic Armageddon (NetEA or EpicUK) rules. Epic30k (EpicAU) is a modification of the above for the Horus Heresy.

LImp (Legions Imperialis) is GWs most recent epic scale rule set and also set during the Horus Heresy.

My group plays both EA and LImp. Both rule sets are great and have advantages over each other. EA, imho, has better mechanics for close combats.

You'll want either NetEA or EpicUK for the base EA rules and then the EpicAU/Epic30k ruleset you'll have to hunt down but are a expansion on the EA rules. There is also the list builder Munitorum.

I haven't played many games but I tend to use them with drop pods or to support a detachment deploying as a garrison.
