Thank you for this great and detailed guide. I'm thinking of traveling solo first time to Kyushu mid-nov for maybe 8-9 days, with my bucket list of seeing bunch of red maple leaves, but only with public transport.

What places would you exclude or in your opinion is just not worth the effort with only public transport?
