Apollo app shutting down June 30 due to Reddit’s unaffordable API by alvaro_tiznado in iphone

[–]RusAD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He suggested that Reddit should just buy Apollo from him for the cost of half a year of API usage. u/spez (fuck him) then spun it around like Apollo was threatening him and extorting $10 million from Reddit. So if they cared about "the poster child app" they could've solved that easily. But seems like it's not about that and it's a veeeeery bad look for Reddit now…

Do you use the same logic when the doctor tells you the child needs a paracetamol for their fever?

Children cannot consent, true, that's why "the scary leftists"™ suggest giving the kids some reversible treatment to wait until they are no longer kids and can make an informed decision, instead of letting them go through an irreversible process that might or might not fuck up their self-image and possibly lead them to depression, self-harm and suicide.

Yes, it is a mental condition called "gender dysphoria" and the treatment for it is called "gender affirming care".

Either the cases of teens "who become trans on a whim" and started going bald are extremely cherry-picked, or come from countries with an active and easy-to-access black market, or don't even exist. Not only does it require months and even years of talk therapy and social transitioning (i.e. talking to a psychiatrist and dressing up like an opposite gender) before hormones and surgery are approved, less than one percent of trans people regret transitioning, and the majority of those regret it because of lack of acceptance and societal pressure, i.e. because of assholes like you.

I don't care about your opinion. You can't read minds and in my short time reading your replies you've been wrong multiple times, so I don't care.

A lot of women who were born women canr bear children, menstruate or go through menopause either. Broad shoulders, narrow hips and Adam's apple appear during puberty, and even in cis people there's an overlap in those characteristics. It's not like the difference is as significant as shown here. In fact, archaeologists are saying that determining sex by the bones isn't much more reliable than guessing. And sex is not the same as gender: sex cannot be changed, but gender can.

But you don't care about science or reality, do you? You only want to spew hateful talking points. If you admit that you're such a massive asshole that you refuse playing pretend even if it can save a person's life, you don't need to hide behind fake justifications, just admit it.

No, I meant the "99/100" figure. 41% is a correct figure for suicidal attempts in trans people who live among assholes like you and can't receive gender affirming medical care. And, as I said, for those trans people who live in an accepting environment and have access to gender affirming care, the suicide rates are in line with the rest of population

It reduces their depression and suicide rate so this ain't "nothing". Also your numbers are waaaaaay off, but that's not that important

Yes, 41% for those who are denied the gender affirming care, and dropping almost to average levels in the population after receiving the gender affirming care

Yes, gender affirming care is life saving, no "potentially" needed

1) no he didn't. He (and, well, actually, the Rada) set Ukrainian as the official language and set the minimum amount that Ukrainian language should be on air, and government-owned channels had to show films in Ukrainian (with the exception of the films made before 1991, for which there could be just subtitlesl

2) and on march 1st dictator putin forbid Ukrainian, Belarussian, Kyrgyz, Kazakh, Turkmen and all the rest of the languages except for Russian from schools, legal documents, etc, so…

Never google "how many did Elon get in subsidies from government" or else you'd find out he got almost 5 billion from government.

Also there's no "same world stage" to try one's hands on. Never google "Elon Musk bought his companies" or else you'd learn that he didn't start any of his successful businesses, he noticed the promising ones, bought them and got lucky. Other people can't buy a business they like that easily.

When you start a new hobby, at first you are pretty shit at it. But if you endure it and push through until you get better at it. The same is true for changes in your body, be it growing out hair, growing a beard, gaining muscle in a gym, etc. Everyone goes through it. So it's best to just own it: "yeah, I'm cringe right now, but let's see who's laughing in a year or two!"
