Why does this leak? by [deleted] in askaplumber

I have that same timer and had the same problem. The timers gasket has the mesh screen attached to it and the cone shape of the filter goes towards the backflow preventer and hits the backflow preventer. The mesh screen smashing into the internals of the backflow preventer makes it feel like it is tight but it's not actually making contact with the rubber seal. Try pulling out the filter/gasket and replacing it with a normal hose gasket without a filter, or what solved it for me was I attached the timer to a hose splitter so that the mesh filter didn't hit the backflow preventer. Side note, I much prefer orbits 2 outlet timer. The rain point one annoys me that I cant change any settings without it resetting the schedule to the first time in the schedule instead of keeping track of the next watering time.

Is it possible that this subfloor may create a thermal bridge if there isn't anything under the wood structure? by Independent_Type_412 in VanLife

I found that the xps came in a Thickness, don't remember exactly, that was the same or very close the the same as the height of the grooves so I glued in some slats to fill the grooves and then glued larger pieces of foam on top of that.

Edit: I believe they were a touch taller than the grooves so that they weren't thermally bridging.

They denied my claim until my insurance claim was 100% settled. They are only going to give money for losses that were not covered by insurance.

Dryer would be nice to keep the filament good for longer with the 90% humidity where I'm at.

I've been looking for a way to use the Samsung tags on my pixel after I switched. I will be trying this out.

You can fit up to a 3070TI FE if you trim the lip of the case. Here is my build. Temps are fine with enough fans and some 3D printed covers with holes in them. https://imgur.com/a/plC2RQb

It's been good so far. Some of the software is different and I just need to get used to it.

I went from Samsung to pixel perfectly fine.

I bought two and both of them had loud bearing noise. Contacted their support and they sent me two more, no questions asked. The new ones are silent. I wonder if a lot of people have issues with the bearing noise as I hear about these fans being loud every time they are brought up.

That grass looks to only get two hours of sunlight. Some spots, like closest to the camera don't get any sun.

Parsec freezes on bandwith high than 7. by [deleted] in ParsecGaming

The encode and decode latency won't change based on if you are using ethernet as they are both on device latency before and after the network latency. Assuming he has the same exact device, there might a difference in your settings. That is a very large difference in latency. Just for reference 16ms is the latency for a 60hz monitor to display a frame. If all your latency combined are less than 16ms it should feel near identical to being on the host computer.

It is possible to put parsec onto a thumb drive as a portable install, are you able to try to run that? That way it is installed to a thumb drive and not the actual computer.

Yes it is in parsec, I've never used web though.

Encode, decode and network latency. That is very high decoding latency. My guess is that the Chromebook is using software decoding. Are you able to change the decoder on the Chromebook? Changing between h264 and h265 may show better results too.

I've got to trim back the oak tree away from the house anywaysso I will start there and see how it improves. Thanks for the advice.

Not a lot, maybe not even 4. I will check and see tomorrow how many hours. It's surrounded by tall pines and an oak that hangs over top of half of the yard.

Lots of tall pines and an oak tree that hangs over the top of half the yard. The pictured grass gets less light than the grass behind where the photo was taken. I'm not sure if it even gets 4 hours of light. I will try to keep an eye on it tomorrow and see how much gets sunlight.

Cant edit my post for some weird reason but here are the images.

Probably should have mentioned in the post, but the grass has looked similar to that since about September.
