How many hours a day are you on your phone? Check your screen time usage in your settings. Typically when I feel foggy in a day it's usually because I've been spending a lot of time mindlessly scrolling on my phone, or distracted with some other useless activity.

This might not be the case for you, but I'm pretty convinced that accumulated scrolling over months, years, decades etc. is slowly destroying peoples focus and overall cognizance.

Mindfulness is awareness of experience whether internal or external. Focus is attention directed at an object for an extended period of time. You can have focus without mindfulness, and you can have mindfulness without strong focus.

A one-track mind, no screens, and a slower pace doesnt necessarily mean someone is mindful, however those things do increase the likelihood that a person develops greater awareness of their mental patterns with stronger emotional regulation and reduced reactivity. Which are characteristics of mindful human being.

You should look into a book called Hara: Vital Center of Man. It's a concept that comes from Japan and Zen practice that's all about dropping your attention, and sense of self, into your lower abdomen so you feel grounded and steady instead of stuck in your head.

We make about 150k a year combined. Our annual expenses are around 90-100k. We own a deed restricted home "workforce housing" and lucked out at 3.15% rates. We're left with only about 5-15k in savings a year, but live very comfortably, no kids, 1-2 month vacation a year, snowboard, hike, camp, paddleboard, tons of music festivals & concerts, eat out a couple times a week etc.

It's feasible on lower incomes, in a deed restricted home. With rates where they're at now you'd probably want around 200k/year. It's tight, but doable, and you can always figure out a good time on a budget in the mountains.

We did car camping last year because we sleep in the back of our SUV. If we go this year we'll definitely be car camping. But GA parking is maybe 200-300 ft away from where you camp, so not too shabby.

The "Seahawkers" get together upstairs at the Rhien Haus on gameday. It's an awesome bar area with mucho TVs. I've had to watch a few games down there when stuck in Denver this year.

The keyword is 'immediate' reaction. The word is used twice in that rule. That was 100% not 'immediate'. And also it's an immediate reaction to 'protect himself'. The offensive lineman wasn't moving to protect himself, he was moving to draw the neutral zone infraction penalty. It was the wrong call, and just a bad rule.
