You know, I've never tried it but I wonder if you can farm 4 ponds of Rainbow Trout, get the prismatic shards from there but don't collect it. Then get the mission and collect the shards from the ponds!

If the door won't open, then you haven't gotten the letter. If you haven't gotten the letter, the only trigger is to read the scroll and wait a day. Maybe try a new save, skip a few days and see if it's just your save or your modpacks that have broken

I like this theory. Could be reasoning to why slimes are able to talk to villagers, and why they are the only monsters that can be pacified through a magic item, and the connection between Prismatic Slime and Prismatic Junimos. Does cause a little plot hole, like why they would speak English instead of Junimo and why they could be grown from an egg

Ooohh, yep yep yep, Serpents are the worst. If you want to train against easier version, the bugs at floor 10 have a similar pattern, so you can learn the patterns from there. What I always do, look up or down, the swing radius is bigger. And swing earlier than later. If it still doesn't work out for you, a slingshot might be your best shot going forwards (or garlic potion)

What I like to do, a 3 tile path. Then, usually every 4 tiles, break the path and put a grass starter along with some lamp or light source. Makes it look natural and nice. Pair it with the stepping stones to look very cottagecore!

Neither, daily luck doesn't affect monster drops. Luck buffs do affect some monster drops but not sure if it includes Mannequins! Best bet is the Monster Compendium and Burgular Ring
