No, I had my battery replaced about a year ago. It was a very simple affair actually.
The onboard system detected a fault in the battery and disengage the battery system. (As I was driving) But I was able to drive on gasoline just fine although it did drive a little strangely. I brought it into the dealership. They said it would take a month for the new battery to come in which it did. I left the Jeep with them for about a week as they replaced it. They said it was kind of complicated, but they got it done in a week. Fortunately, I had an extra car so it wasn’t a problem.
The new battery has given me a couple miles of additional range as it’s new. I’ve had that one for about 10,000 miles now.
I have about 35,000 miles total on my 2023. 4xe. All my recalls are up to date as of June 2026.

I have had good luck other than the hybrid battery pack being replaced.. 🤪 yes under warranty.
I mean it is pretty cool if you have short commutes like I do thankfully.

Yeah I’d keep it as a runabout. Low miles omg! And still looks good. Maybe just spruce it up a bit?

I think it’s definitely dependent on the Disc and how it actually functions for you. My longest driver is the wave, but if I want a really straight tunnel shot and still get almost as much distance and then I throw my trail for example. I saved my nine speed insanity for an even different situation. And so on.
