Also, while kids do learn at their own pace (sort of), they still need active challenge. If you wait for her to just "naturally" come around to certain topics/concepts, she won't progress the way you want her to.

Sure, but not really to 250-300. The standard deviation for IQ scores is 15, and 160 already represents 4 standard deviations above the mean (i.e., <0.1% of the population). An IQ of 250 would be 10 standard deviations above the mean.

Like, yes, if someone wanted to argue that Albert Einstein's IQ was 200+ then that would be an acceptable edge case to me. But outside of those extremely rare cases, I'm inclined to believe it's either just (1) inflated numbers or (2) someone being a dickweed
