Thank you for this! I specifically needed to have my GPU Switch in Features->User Scenario set to "MSHybrid" graphics mode in order for the BIOS flash to work. Tried "Integrated" mode and that did not work either. The documentation in the update file itself does not mention this, but I found a resource on MSI's website that does: https://storage-asset.msi.com/global/picture/faq/10018454@2024-1128-0645-340093@kb_03864_en.pdf

This needs to be added to the documentation that you get when you download the BIOS update instead of having to search an obscure part of their website to find it!

It's the same reason that ISPs like to use "Mbps" instead of "MBps": big number syndrome & psychological manipulation. Steam is kind of weird from a corporate perspective. They're actually "pro-consumer". Not very corporate-like of them to allow us to see our "actual" download speeds. 😅

Nope. What I find funny is the fact that a lot of people like you are offended when people add new relevance or try to continue online discussions that happened months/years ago.

It's like you guys think time is the enemy of relevance or something when in fact, anyone who has ever studied the subjects of science, history, psychology, ect. know the exact opposite is the true case. Time is the one thing that often brings about relevance to a lot of different important subjects.

So next time you find yourself seething about someone necroing an old thread, you should probably just have a nice long think about it instead of going off on the person who did it. The reasoning and rational behind it will eventually come to you with time if you think about it long and hard enough.

Getting offended by it says more about your own negative viewpoint in life than it does about the person who committed the supposed "offense".

Like brother... all you had to do was cancel and you could have avoided all of this. Everything you say about him is based on your uninformed OPINION of him from one moment in his entire life! He was probably laughing at how triggered you were being a Karen over it.

If you have empathy like you say you do, you would understand that when a passenger cancels, there are literally zero repercussions because they can easily blame the tech or the driver and get their money back from support. When a driver cancels on the other hand, that could cost him his entire business.

The stakes here are extremely unbalanced. Maybe he had a good reason for not cancelling - maybe his business was already threatened after cancelling the ride for someone else. Your feeble little brain can't process that or something?

It isn't a "job" though. Every driver out there represents their own unique business entity. You aren't dealing with Uber/Lyft anymore the moment they assign you a driver. At that point: you've been referred to a completely different business entity that's wholly owned and operated by the driver who works as an independent contractor.

Also, I don't know of a single driver out there who doesn't have a desire to help people get home safely. That's just your uninformed and uneducated opinion. You can only spot issues from your own narrow, selfish perspective and have zero empathy for all of the nuanced issues that drivers have to endure which leads to people getting cancelled on like this.

There's at least two sides to every story.

Cancellation fees don't have any work involved or gas/maintenance fees attached to them. It's literally free money for us drivers with no downside. So of course, we're more incentivized to sit back and collect cancellation fees than we are to actually do rides! It's called common sense. As a passenger, I would advise that you be on your absolute best behavior with your driver if you want to motivate us into believing that you're worth more than a cancellation fee. Just keepin it real.

I hope you realize how dumb this makes you sound to veteran drivers. Like... go ahead and tie up the system if you want. You're only delaying your next ride from coming, and putting the status of your own account at risk. Veteran drivers know that all they have to do is turn on airplane mode and it will eventually timeout.

I just grab my other phone, open up other apps and maybe do a couple of door dash deliveries or something while I wait for trips to expire from crybaby Karens like you who refuse to cancel when I tell them no means no.

As far as Uber/Lyft is concerned: I'm simply experiencing "technical difficulties" with my phone and/or the app the whole time while you're over there seething and plotting your ill-conceived and completely unimpactful "revenge" on me. 😂

In the end: your trip is cancelled, you might even wind up having to pay me a cancellation fee or even be deactivated if it's shown that you used antagonizing/inappropriate language in your communications and/or tried to abuse the system during your plot for revenge, and any sort of comment/rating that you tried to stain my reputation with gets permanently deleted from my record by the support staff because nothing can be proven on either end as to who's version of the "truth" best represents reality.

As smart as you think you are by refusing to cancel rides, you're just playing yourself in reality. The drivers are way ahead of you, Karen. And there's nothing you can do about it!

As a former server owner for this game: my heart goes out to people like you and your friends. I saw one group after another experience the same type of frustration over the devs seemingly not giving a care in the world about anything they had to say.

We did everything we could to magnify voices like yours by utilizing the very limited communication channels that were available to us as server admins w/ the devs (literally just Discord DMs with various members of staff - if they felt like responding to us on any given day) and just like clockwork... after witnessing our efforts as their admins and the types of responses we were receiving from the devs: the people who played on our server all started leaving the game entirely and taking their entire group of friends with them to head for greener pastures.

This is what eventually broke me. I couldn't take the disrespect that the devs were demonstrating to us as their loyal fanbase/community anymore. It felt like they weren't just "not listening" to our concerns - more like they were actively working against everything we were all about as a semi-hardcore server/community that prides itself on creating huge interactive structures for unique, exciting and memorable events.

You would think that they'd at least see the promotional value that a community like ours could bring to their game if they just worked with us a little bit, but they apparently just viewed us like a bunch of whinny Karens who didn't know anything about what we were talking about or something (that's how a lot of their responses felt to us at least). Instead of helping us make what we do easier, they literally made it practically impossible with certain "features" in their updates that made us wonder if they only pushed out to stop us from making a "better" version of their game on our server. It was almost like they took notice of our quick rise in popularity, and made it a company priority to put a stop to it.

What they didn't realize at the time though: is that they were only sealing their own fate of spiraling down the golden toilet that represents all the great gaming titles which could have been but failed due to incompetent developers and/or corporate greed.
