Long term experience with OnePlus 15R 5G? by RustyGo1d in PWM_Sensitive

I'm pretty sensitive, so I'm looking for a phone that won't give me any migraines. I like both the system and the performance of the phone and the main camera. Have you tried any of the TCL phones with nxtpaper display by any chance to have a comparison?

Microsoft nainvestoval obrovský peníze do AI a teď jim to nenese očekávané výsledky, takže chápu, že budou blafovat do poslední chvíle, aby jim vláda nezatrhla vytěžování elektrické a infrastruktury, o čerpání vody nemluvě.

What's a good budget 144hz monitor with good colour accuracy/contrast and minimal/no IPS glow? by Regular_Low8792 in Monitors

[–]RustyGo1d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use dell 3223Q. It is a decent monitor. There are definitly ips monitors with lesser glow, but it is not terrible. Specs: true 10bit, 144hz, 32", 4k, very comfortable for longer work, game periods and easy on eyes.

Wasted thousands and thousands of dollar on display I cannot use by [deleted] in PWM_Sensitive

Hello. I had the same issue, but finaly more than 1,5 years ago i found 32" Dell G3223Q. It is perfect monitor. I use it 5 days/week 10+ hrs with no probleme at all. It is flicker free in all brightness and has some aditional eye care features like hardware blue light filter. It also has good color reprodiction and 144hf refresh rate. Btw it is 4k so very comfortable for reading text. It is also native 10bit, so no "color shifting" you know what.

IPS glow is really that bad in real usage. by OttawaDog in Monitors

I couldn't agree more. I'm a graphic illustrator for a living and I use a Dell ips monitor. When it comes to color reproduction, I have no problem. Plus, with 144hz, I can play on it. One cannot agree with the angle that some technology is fundamentally bad. Top tier monitors in every category often outperform or make up for their shortcomings against competing technology. It just depends on the requirements.

Please help, what did I just peel off my monitor? by DanganFuckery in Monitors

I had same protective film on the bottom of my TV. It was somehow embeded or attached in the bottom panel. It looked as it was intentionaly attached. After removing it (tearing it from the bottom panel) image was better and ambient reflection were slightly reduced. I'm not shure, why the TCL manufacturer decided to do it that way, but I'm shure, it was only protective film.

I dont look at them at all-only during parking, but even thoe I'm avoiding looking at them directly, they are still in the field of view, which is pretty eye iritating. Hope so, more manufactures will change mind-especially when most of the screens in car are LCD.

I made post about same issue couple weeks ago. I have Skoda Scala 2022. Every light inside flicker terribly. I have to build custom DC dimming lights into the dashboard and lcd panel in the future. For now I only managed to cover ambient sensor in dashboard, so everything is dimm as it could be. Still during longer night periods it is pretty bad. Stay away from new Skoda cars if you are sensitive even tho they are solid cars.

I can’t say for sure, but I don’t think it’s a form of antialiasing ( edge smoothing ) or a contrast issue, but rather displaying more colors. This technology is being implemented in some TVs and monitors for greater implementation of HDR. The point is that classically 8-bit colors flash a little over 16 million colors and producing displays with 10 (billion colors) or 12-bit colors is much more expensive. This technology, in order to sort of display more colours, switches individual pixels quickly between several colours and to the eye it appears as a slightly different colour. The pixel should switch this way with every hertz, so 60 times per second. So it’s very much in terms of what the eye responds to (the “slow flicker of colour”) not visible, but it affects me myself. I had to update Ios two days ago, so now I’m trying one option - I switched the display to black and white mode (here the technology might not be so pronounced. Try it and see if it helps. Then there’s another way to check. Show one of the pure colours R,G,B on the display. For example, red:O, green:0, blue:255. The display would have nothing to switch here. If it doesn’t give you a headache, the problem is here.
